Fun and Flexible
We all love waffles with butter and syrup, but there are many more options. Waffle recipes go from basic to gourmet. Try recipes for pumpkin, berry or chocolate waffles. Or, jazz up plain waffles by topping with whip cream, fresh fruit or apple butter.
The Belgian style grids are made with a non-stick surface for easy removal and cleanup.
Power and Preheat lights
Power on & preheat lights located on top indicate when power is on and when to add batter.
This compact design makes it easy to store upright in a cupboard or pantry.
Now and Later
Most of us don’t have time to make homemade waffles every day, but wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy them any day of the week? You can by making a few extra. Waffles store easily in the refrigerator or the freezer. Just let them cool before packing in an airtight container. When you’re ready to enjoy them, simply reheat in the microwave, toaster, or regular oven.

Top customer reviews
I ordered this for a 'Waffle Party' so in a short time have already made over fifty waffles.
In that process I've figured out a few tips:
-It takes almost exactly 1/2 cup of waffle mix in each side to make a full waffle, so I just scoop with a 1/2 measuring cup.
-For waffles with a softer inside: Cook it for about 4 minutes on medium
-For a crispier / crunchier waffle go for five minutes.
-If you want the waffle to be more legitimately 'Belgian' style, add a slight bit more water than your recipe calls for and cook for a little over 4 minutes, that should give you a nice crispy on the outside / soft on the inside waffle.
If you want something fancier with bells and whistles, spend more money.
For the cost this is simply a wonderful waffle maker.
Smash cut to 2015, when a universe of affordable waffle makers are available to order with the click of a mouse or tap of a touch screen. Tired of suffering substandard waffles, I ordered the 26009. I just finished my first batch for my family of four this morning, and they came out perfectly. In retrospect, I could use a four-square iron, but I needed a waffle maker that was small enough to fit in my rather crowded cabinets.
A+++++ five stars would bake waffles again!
It's easy to clean too, we just wiped it down...I was leaning towards a more expensive one with removable plates but I'm glad I went with this because it's super easy to clean and half the price.
There are several complaints about this waffle iron: the housing gets really hot, there is no on-off switch, the plastic lift bar is a little tricky, waffles don't brown properly.
Right there on the housing, where you can't miss it, is a warning that says it will become very hot. We all know that means, Be Careful.
Before pulling the plug to turn the iron off when you're done, remember to move the heat regulator from Maximum to Minimum (right to left).
The plastic lift bar is a little tricky. What do you expect for under $20?
Give the irons a quick spray of vegetable oil before plugging the appliance in,
Set the heat regulator to Maximum (left to right),
Add a moderate amount of batter and smooth it lightly.
Close lid, wait about three minutes, until the green light is visible.
If there is still steam rising from the waffle iron, heat the syrup and soften the butter.
When there is no more steam, open the iron and remove your great waffles.
Replace the heat regulator to minimum and unplug the device.
If you were careful with the batter there won't be any cleanup. Even if there were spills, cleanup is very easy once the appliance has cooled..
I've no plans to replace this waffle iron.
It's surprisingly easy to clean even though the plates are not removable. I just carefully run it under hot water and let it fully dry overnight before using it again. I do recommend cleaning it very well before first use. And for your first few waffles, leave the heat slider on the lowest setting, and check on the waffles after about 2 minutes. I overcooked my first batch at 4 minutes since it was whole wheat, and they tasted plasticky since I didn't wash it as thoroughly as I needed to. And make sure you liberally use cooking spray. The nonstick surface works great along with cooking spray--no clinging whatsoever, except for the one time I forgot to use spray. The lock/latch that holds the waffle maker closed is not very strong but it does work for batters. It won't work well if you are waffling something like tater tots since it doesn't grip very tight. Be careful not to overfill--I do 1/4 cup of batter per waffle, maybe a little less.
This waffle maker is inexpensive and worth every penny, small and easy to store, and has minimal settings--exactly what I wanted. Enjoy!
