Very pleased with this Hamilton Beach Hand Mixer. I took a good deal of time comparison shopping to find a quality hand mixer that was not too heavy, easy slider control and separate eject button. The mixer came with 2 stainless steel blades as well as a small whisk. A real plus is the nesting box that holds the blades and cord (only small portion of cord sticks out where attached to mixer) that the actual mixer sits in. Small size appliance that fits any kitchen. Perfect mixer for most jobs. During use you can sit it upright or prop it against the bowl you are using. The blades fit and eject perfectly. Good quality and pricing. Shipping was excellent. Additional plus is that by signing in to Amazon Smile part of the purchase price is donated by Amazon to the charity of your choice - in my case the ASPCA. Makes shopping even more enjoyable.

No separate beater release button

So far the mixer is working as expected and I like it. However, from the picture, I was under the impression that there was a separate button to release the beaters. I had to replace my previous hand mixer because the same button that determines the speed also served as the release button for the beaters. I couldn't get the button to release the beaters and there's no way to open the mixer to fix the problem. So I was specifically looking for a mixer that had a separate button for releasing the beaters. I thought this one did; it does not. The release function on this mixer is currently working correctly -- but then so did the last mixer's release function. I wish the information about the mixer had been clearer about the release function. However, I like the mixer, and the release function is working well for now.
