I now think that it could be a fake product because the serial number was not in the database of Hamilton. Although i had doubts when purchasing it i was assured by Amazon jewelry department that this item was original. However an original item should not break after 3 months!
It is unbelievable Amazon!! I am 110% disappointed...
I'm going to enjoy this watch. Hope this help any buyers out there P:S Amazon has the best price
The watch is not overly heavy (compared to my stainless steel Longines) however it is solid enough to know you are wearing a serious piece of watchmaking mastery. I particularly like the `wobble' you occasionally feel when the movement spins. There is no need for me to outline the chronograph movement of the Rail Road as anyone genuinely considering purchasing this watch should already be aware of what is inside through research.
It can be difficult to view the time in low light due to styling, however with the illuminating tips at each end of each hand ensure this is not a significant criticism.
If you are planning to wear this watch with a long sleaved business/casual shirt, it is more often than not difficult for the sleeve to fit over the watch due to its height/size.
Overall I am VERY happy with this purchase. Hamilton is a brand which is not available in Australia, and I took a big risk purchasing this watch without putting it on my wrist first. I didn't have to wait long for it to arrive either!
The all black look is at once sporty and classy; which I anticipate will lend well to versatility. The only negative comment I had read about the watch is that the gunmetal finish on the markings makes the watch difficult to read. I have to admit in lower light situations it is difficult to read the numbers, but generally I just glance at the hand position anyway. Also, I read a comment on a forum that the chrono buttons are stiff. While there is a very satisfying click when engaging and resetting the chrono, I would not say they are stiff.
Anyway, hope this helps.

Great looking watch however it does lose 3-5 minutes over a 24 hour period.Published 18 months ago by Kevin
Absolutely jaw dropping watch. Unfortunately mine directly from Amazon was damaged, and they couldn't replace it, so I had to send it back. Very disappointed. Read morePublished on January 12, 2014 by Ian Charters
