3.0 out of 5 stars Simple stand for a simple purpose.
By Braylon Clark on February 19, 2016
There is nothing actually wrong with this stand but the fact that it is JUST THAT.. A stand. There is not true protection here I am afraid every time I sit my alto on it that it will slip off and I watch it a few seconds to make sure it doesn't. I bought me a Hercules since then and I feel much better with the auto grips locking mechanism. Now I can sit me sax down without worrying about the slip. If you don't have a lot of people around your horn and just want somewhere to sit it so that you don't have to keep taking it out of the case and assempllling it this stand is fine. If you have kids or there is going to be a lot of traffic in the area where your horn is on the stand then I recommend one with the Auto Grip technology or equivalent (the Hercules is also more travel friendly, as it can be broken down and put in a bag.). Below I have attached two pictures one of my sax one this stand and one with the Hercules just so that you guys can see the difference hope it helps.
