Two keys appear to be permanently linked, and no matter how you look at it, there is seemingly no solution to unlocking them. However, as a highly popular puzzle since its creation during the 19th century puzzle craze, the keys are in fact separable. The hint is "Enlarge."

One additional note to the durability of this puzzle. I always feel I need to explain to the person trying to solve it that muscle power has NOTHING to do with solving the puzzle. Unfortunately, if one wanted to, one could rip the pieces apart, which would likely bend or break one of the pieces. The pieces will in fact come apart with ease if solved properly.
