The two main characters Prince Malachi and Princess Jessabelle are about to get married. They should be like any other happily married couple right? What is there to be nervous about? How about if Prince Malachi and Princess Jessabelle have never actually met each other in person! Each of their fathers made a promise that should anything happen to Princess Jessabelle's father, she would marry either Prince William or Prince Malachi. Princess Jessabelle has already been rejected by Prince William twice, so she doesn't have much confidence that Prince Malachi would ever be happy with a hand me down princess.
I love how their relationship develops and Princess Jessabelle becomes more confident in who she is. Prince Malachi is the sweetest husband always looking out for Princess Jessabelle and making sure she is reminded how beautiful he thinks she is not only in his eyes, but also God's. Near the end of the book, what Prince Malachi wrote for Princess Jessabelle almost brought me to tears.
I would highly recommend this book! I have already ordered the third book, Prince From Her Past. If I choose to get the second book, Winning the Queen's Heart I will possibly do a review for that too.
each other! Due to her father saving his father when they were young, both fathers
agreed to have their children marry one another. As she gets used to royal life and
all of the duties that go along with it, Malachi loves her and helps her to blossom
into the woman and princess that she can be even as a hidden secret rocks their
world. Must read. First book in this series.
Jessabelle is a shy, meek, and unassuming young girl and one day her life is turned upside down when she marries Prince Malachi, the young man who pledges to protect her and care for her. These two learn what it is to survive even when the odds are against you.
In this book, Carol Moncado has brought us into the royal life again. She continues to write books in which we get a glimpse of what it might be like to live in a world like Cinderella.
I loved how Carol constantly weaves Biblical truths and examples of how these characters struggle to live a life that is pleasing to God.
I highly recommend reading this book. It’s full of fun, emotions, and a bit of suspense. I can’t wait for the next one!
