And is a great book for more advanced riders. The first time I read it I was a beginner and didn't understand very much, but by the time I read it for the fifth time, it was beginning to make sense to me.
De Rufieu explains the nuances of rein usage, body position, seat, etc in the ongoing conversation between a rider and mount. Understanding and implementing these nuances can take you from and average rider to a skilled rider.
