These socks are fine. If you're looking for fine socks, you've come to the right place. They get two stars off for the following two reasons. First, they are simply not as low-cut as the name would lead you to believe. When I wear them with standard-height sneakers, the socks are not only visible but rest approximately 3/4" above the top of the shoe. I'm a size 11 so if anything, these socks should run toward the smaller side on me, but alas. Second, each and every pair in the package has already developed a run in them after just one or two wears & washes each. I find new threads just hanging out there nearly time. They'll probably hold up for another year or so with regular wear, but I guess I was just expecting a little bit more in quality. Other than those two criticisms, they are, yes, fine.

Good for barefoot running

So I've entered the fray of this new barefoot running trend, meaning that I wear Merrell Trail glove shoes for running now. However, I'm a really sweaty guy, and that includes my feet, so I've taken to wearing these no show socks with my barefoot shoes to absorb the sweat and keep the vibram stink down a bit. They do the trick. Some will say that it defeats the purpose of barefoot shoes to use socks, but I think it improves them and adds just a tiny bit of cushion as well.
