After wearing these socks, the indentations will be so defined into your calves, and the blood so drained out of them, no one will know you've taken your socks off. So, there may be some benefit, in terms of thriftiness. But it's not worth it. With these on, you will find yourself, all during the day, pulling open the tops of your socks, trying to get some relief.
What's needed is some kind of sock-stretching device. And here it is! The XM10 spring clamp, 4" capacity. I got mine on Amazon from Weldfabulous!
When your socks are not in use, store them on these (see attached photos), and the spring ends will pull the top part in an open position. Each clamp handles multiple socks at once. I keep three clamps in the drawer, which is about what it takes to store a decent supply of socks.
I don't normally write reviews, but I thought this might be too important not to share. After about one year's worth of stretching, your experience with these socks will be somewhat better than at first!
