I purchased about 4 of these to strategically place around our house to keep, purses, bags, coats, fleeces, scarves, etc. OFF the floor. This is such a nice product and holds a TON of stuff! I have quite a collection of scarves and bags--and this is perfect to hang all my items I use often in plain sight. I use one for just scarves, and one for everyday bags I switch around to on a weekly basis depending on what I am wearing.
The kids cannot reach this, but I don't mind that. I have a few heavy-weight hooks hung on the lower area of our doors and walls for them to hang their items. I even put 2 of these on 1 door (One on both sides) and it works perfectly.

I ordered this since I don't have a coat closet, and needed a place to hang my winter coats and other jackets. It fit well over my clothes closet door, and easily holds about a half dozen coats. Unlike some other models, the balls on the end of the hooks are rather small, and thus easily leave little 'dimples' if you hang something directly on them, so you might not want to hang nicer things there. It appears to be of rather sturdy construction and has a simple, utilitarian look to it. My only significant complaint is that the manufacturer doesn't list its dimensions here, and its kinda hard to judge from the pictures. Because it has a fixed width for the part that attaches to the door, it will not fit snugly on all doors, and in any case may well prevent the door from shutting. That wasn't a big deal for me, but keep it in mind.

To all those who helped me select these with your reviews - THANK YOU! My doors are 1-3/8 inch deep, so I just added a clear peel and stick cupboards door tabs also used for picture frames or glass table tops and it fit perfect without sliding or clanging the door when something was "yanked off" of it. The hanging part fits a 1-1/2 inch door perfectly. Double check the amount of clearance you have when your door is open because the hooks are a nice large size (almost larger than necessary) and will hold over-sized robes and large bath towels. They do stick out 3 inches from the door and with clothes on them did not allow my small bathroom door to open fully because the door jamb was so close to the wall.

It is a great addition and provides more than ample storage for belts, purses, hoodies, etc. It is super durable, the chrome is shining, and I have no doubt that we will get many more years of good use out of this bad boy. extra coat storage for winter

We bought this to help manage our coats during winter, and it works great. It seems quite sturdy, and holds 3 or 4 heavy coats without a problem. Our door is thin enough (average interior hollow-core door) with enough clearance between it and the frame that this doesn't get in the way at all. I'm glad I bought this.
