Using it to test baggage before flying to make sure I don't exceed the 50lb limit. When you get it (at least this is the case with mine), it was stuck on "hold" mode, where after the load comes to rest (gives it a few moments to accurately gauge the weight), it locks the number. I had to turn that off because after I got the base load, I would stack items on top until I reached just under 50lbs. No big deal, took some trial and error. To give is a real test, I grabbed my pull down bar from my work out machine and strapped myself to it. It weighed me at 215 lbs, which was accurate. Also comes with batteries, which is a plus.

Nice case, Annoying Hold Feature

Pros: This scale has a rugged case and I like that it has eyelets on both ends instead of a handle on one end like many of this type of scale has. The eyelets allow it to self-center in the line of tension, which is desirable. It ships with the S hook and D clip as shown in the picture, which also saves you a trip to the hardware store. The price is also very cheap, which is good when you consider that you will have to replace any digital scale every few years because the load cells in these things just do not hold up over time. Also the seller is very responsive to your problems and will refund it no questions asked if you have a problem.

Cons: The one big flaw this scale has is that the auto-hold feature will lock in the current reading once it stabilizes after just a few seconds, and then it will stop updating the display after that until you hit the hold button again. This means that if you are gradually applying load to it or adding more items to a hanging bucket or something like that, you will continually have to keep hitting the hold button to get the readout to update every few seconds. Unfortunately it does not appear that you can turn this mode off, so you are stuck with it-- which is the main reason I'm only giving it 3 stars. The other problem I don't like, which is pretty much standard on all battery powered scales, is the auto shutoff mode where it turns itself off after a period of inactivity. I really wish scale manufacturers would do away with that "feature," or at least make an option to disable it. If your scale shuts off during a weighing session, you will have to start over and it is very annoying.
