What starts out as a promise thanks to an unreliable elevator turns into the best love story. Brad has been part of Lexi's life since she can remember and there's been a longing in her soul for this man for what seems like forever until he breaks her heart. She's determined to move on, but that's so much easier said than done sometimes. Let's put it this way, Brad is determined to get his girl this time around and he won't let anyone or anything stop him.
As he weaves his way back into her world, their chemistry is undeniable. When they kiss, it's like her world turns upside down....
"It's insane. I'm wearing clothes, yet this is the most turned on I've ever been in my life. My stomach is quivering, my arms and legs shaking. I'm holding onto him just to stay afloat as he does wondrous things with his hands, his tongue, his flesh against mine."
Watching Brad weave his magic on Lexi was so fun. He's a former hockey player with quite the ego, but when it comes to this woman, he'll do anything he has to in order to have her permanently in his life. And let me tell you, he's pulling out all the stops for this one!!!
Lexi for her part, runs a small diner that is basically her life and it seems like such a fun place to eat and hangout. I so appreciated her independence and not wanting to rely on anyone else to make her diner a success. She believes in hard work and standing on her own no matter what. And when she thinks there's someone that might stop her, well, let the proverbial fists fly!
As this story unfolds I was so captivated by our H/h and what they go through to get to their HEA because this was not all sunshine and roses. But, when there is a chemistry like theirs and both people want that second chance, in the end, the victory is worth the hard fought battle
Hangry was a fun, light read. There wasn’t a whole lot of complexity to the storyline, it was pretty predictable, but the characters were likeable enough. The book did move a little slow and the angst or twist didn’t pan out to be a whole lot of drama. I enjoyed the book, it was a nice way to spend an afternoon, it’s just not one that will stick with me. The book is told in a dual POV from both Lexi and Brad’s POV. This is my first read by the author and I will definitely check out others.
Bradley Hamilton knows he made a terrible mistake when he pushed Lexi away after his accident. She is the one woman he's wanted and now he doesn't know how to get her back. But as luck would have it, he's given a second chance and he's not about to blow it.
What started out a bet quickly turns into something more. But when outside forces threaten their relationship, will they stand united against the foe? Or will their relationship be over before it even begins?
Hangy is a fun, witty, sassy romance that will have the read glued to each page.
Lexi is the full package... smart, talented, saucy, hilarious, and down to earth. She doesn't need the finer things in life, the small things are what will win her heart. I love everything about her.
Brad is tall, handsome, and sexy. He's also kind, generous, and completely in love with Lexi. The lengths he goes through to make her happy is endearing.
The passion between Lexi and Brad is brilliant. Their give and take is stunning, you can feel their love fly off the pages. Their past only help strength their present and onto their future.
I really, absolutely loved every second of Hangy and didn't want to say bye to Lexi, Brad, and all the other brilliant characters. It's a laugh a minute, sweep you off your feet, no hold barred read that will delight the read from cover to cover.
I highly recommend this sexy rom-com to anyone needing a good laugh with their romance.
"Food is more than my hobby, it's my life. My deepest desire. My vice. My lover..."
What do you do when you are hangry, stuck in an elevator with your hot former best friend and he is holding a hamburger ransom for a date? Obviously you agree to the date and get your hamburger! What seems like a relatively easy and quick romance between Brad and Lexi turns messy really quick.
Brad was so sweet and sensitive and thoughtful and caring and any woman would be lucky to have him, but Lexi is his perfect match. When they finally discover that they have each had been in love with each other since they were kids, the romance and swoony moments have really been kicked up a notch!
"I'd been happy before, my world had been sunny. Add in Bradley Hamilton, and my universe sparkles."
OH MY GOSH! Y'all this book! *sigh* It's a brothers former best friend/ friends to enemies to lovers story and I just freaking loved it. I just the right amount of drama thrown in. Lexi and Bradly loved to argue and I really enjoyed their bantering, they felt more real to me because of it.
If you are looking for fun a flirty romantic comedy, Hangry is the perfect book for you.
