Product Description

The Hanna Instruments HI 9811-5N is a waterproof multi-parameter meter for measuring electro-conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), pH, and temperature all in one device.

The meter features a large LCD screen for readability, and automatic temperature compensation to eliminate the need for additional calculations. The meter can be calibrated at one point for pH, EC or TDS.

pH range is 0.0 to 14.0 pH, + or - 0.1 pH, with resolution 0.1 pH. EC range is 0 to 6000 uS/cm + or - 2% F.S. with resolution 10 uS/cm. TDS range is 0 to 3000 ppm (mg/L) + or - 2% F.S. with resolution 10 ppm (mg/L).Temperature range is 0.0 to 70.0°C, + or - 1 degree C, with resolution 0 degree C. Dimensions are 144.6 x 79.5 x 37 mm (5.7 x 3.1 x 1.5”) and weighs 230 g (8.1 oz.).

Conductivity meters are used for measuring the electro-conductivity of a solution. They are commonly used in hydroponics, aquaculture, and research to measure the amount of salts or other compounds present in water.

Very complicated to calibrate - not very user friendly in a production kitchen. It works, but I won't buy it again.

As of today it is no longer functional. We've only had it for 2 months. We are reaching out to the mfr now and hopefully they will back their product.
