“The mishaps and amusing bickering of this mismatched duo bring to mind such 1930s romantic film comedies as It Happened One Night. But the mood darkens as the plot thickens… Mr. Hruska―himself a former lawyer―is at his thriller-writing best once Tom sinks his teeth into the investigation of, and subsequent legal negotiations with, these various blackguards.”
― Wall Street Journal
"With Alan Hruska you're guaranteed a nonstop pace, witty dialogue and characters you care about. It Happened at Two in the Morning was my must-read thriller this year and―wow!―he delivered.”
― Peter Lovesey, award-winning author of the Peter Diamond series
"A legal thriller that really thrills. It hits hard and you keep off balance until the last page. I couldn't put it down."
― Phoef Sutton, New York Times–bestselling author of Heart Attack & Vine and 15 Minutes to Live
“Hruska keeps the reader guessing even as some of the suspects are killed. He weaves a highly tangled web of greed, pride, and corruption.”
― Gumshoe Review
