Since reading that wonderful book, I have read hundreds more, all of his books and all of those he listed as his sources and many more. Reading and reviewing books is now a healthy habit and hobby that has changed my perception.
Like his other books, "Happiness in Hard Times" is written in a quick and easy to follow, interesting manner. Short stories, humorous cartoons and "In a Nut shell" short summaries make his concepts stick.
His cartoons, though witty, are topic appropriate. His books contain serious life changing messages that I find both informative and enlightening.
In Happiness in Hard Times, the author helps you change your thought process from hopelessness and despair to "Happiness in Hard Times."
It is not the crises, but the way we handle it that matters. Our thoughts are like a magnet. We can either learn from our suffering and move to a higher plane or we can continue to focus on our misery and attract more of the same.
First we must learn to like ourselves, visualize and focus on where we want to be, accepting and learning from our suffering while attracting gratitude and opportunity.
We are the ones who are responsible for our thoughts and happiness. Matthews is an expert in helping us change our perspection and move on to happiness.
If you never read another book, read "Being Happy" and all of Andrew Matthew's books. You will be so happy you did. He is a Godsend! Learn how to be happy!
Thank you Andrew Matthews, thank you for helping all of us find the true meaning of life.
This is by far the greatest self help book I ever read! and I'm having fun reading it too! Highly recommended!
