True Happiness Gives You Many Unique Powers. Learn How to Identify Them To Use Them
In Happiness Power, we delve into the questions as to why happiness is so important and the powers it provides through Happiness Science.
"Happiness science" is a new field of social science known as positive psychology. It is not the old-school "positive thinking" or self-help, but rather a new empirical research field. Positive psychology functions constructively to obtain more of what we want to make ourselves better, happier people.
Happiness Power is a unique book that details how happiness's life-satisfying emotion provides significant benefits to those who experience it. It also offers those who seek happiness the latest methods and techniques to improve their outlook and gain the new joy they are seeking. Happiness gives power to people who have achieved this state compared with those who exude pessimism and unhappiness. Most are unaware of the incredible fifty powers of happiness that this book details.
The Fifty Powers of Happiness consists of physical, health, mental, workplace, and social powers. These are the most important of the identified powers that are gained by those who experience happiness.

Drawing upon his many years of personal and professional experience, Gill, a self-proclaimed ‘joyful optimist,’ offers readers a step-by-step guide to obtaining a more positive outlook on the life they currently have. Throughout the book, he tackles the ‘secret to happiness,’ detailing tips and ‘effortless mindfulness tricks,’ that is, strategies devised to help guide us through the day-to-day malaise of modern living. Additionally, Gill includes an appendix and chapter summaries (I wish more authors would do this!) that make for frustration-free future reference.
While there’s a bevy of quotes, cited studies, thoughtful advice, and some pretty remarkable takeaways, Gill refuses to beat readers over the head, opting for a conversational tone that feels less like a self-help guru and more like a long-lost friend. But what really sets Gill’s book apart from the rest is the manner in which he wraps each and every sentence with a warm, optimistic tone. Regardless of your takeaway, I would have a hard time imagining anyone reading this and not feeling at least a little bit better about being alive.
If you are anything like me, then you probably struggle to remain ‘in the moment.’ Thankfully, Robert Gill’s ‘Happiness Power’ provided me with a roadmap for stopping to smell those proverbial roses.
Make no mistake, regardless of the gimmicky title and stock cover art—this is not just another run-of-the-mill ‘self-help’ book—it just might be the best ‘self-help’ book I’ve ever read_highly recommended!
Moreover, through this book, I learned about the Happiness Science, a new and empirical field of social science known as positive psychology, which is really interesting for me. I will surely keep on reading about this!
Perhaps the best part about this book is the checklists you can download in the front of the book. It truly is a happiness guide you can follow step-by-step for years to come. The strategies are actionable. Some are quick, while others take more time to develop. But whatever tips readers choose to follow, there is value in every page of this read. Highly informative and highly recommended for everyone.
