About the Author
Shelley Giard has been a practicing cosmetologist and makeup artist since 1991. In those years she has owned 4 salons, been a color educator for two major hair-care companies; ARTec Worldwide, and Grazette of Sweden and has worked on the TV sets of HSN. She has also had the pleasure of working on the live sets of photo shoots for online training courses produced by Kelby Media, and with them she has created looks for the leaders in the photography industry from all over the globe such as Scott Kelby, Frank Doorhof, Mike Kubeisy, Joe Mcnally, Lindsay Adler, Jerry Ghionis, Dave Black and Calvin Hollywood. Some of her ongoing commercial clients include the Tampa Bay Buccanners, Kelby Media, True Sin Clothing, and TeenyB Bikini Couture. She has and continues to work with several other commercial clients in her growing career. She is passionate about what she does and loves to share her knowledge and experiences with others. She "pays it forward" by involving herself each year in charity events such as Help Portrait and in honor of her youngest daughter Abrielle who has Down syndrome she raises money for The Special Olympics and creates Down syndrome awareness through her daughters you tube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/MyAmazingBrie/videos. In October 2010 she decided to share more of who she was through writing a motivational/inspirational memoir, I Need The Happy Ending. It was released in the major online markets in October 2012 fulfilling yet another one of her goals in life. Shelley is a single mother of 4 children and feels that although life has been consistently busy and full of ups and downs, there is still so much more for her to do. She hopes to travel in the future and share her story and inspiration with the general public, young teens, and people in her industry through speaking engagements, training's and motivational events. Her makeup, hair and wardrobe styling work can be found all over the internet, in magazines, books, and in online training courses for Kelby Training. More of her inspirational writing can also be found through her blog www.shelleygiard.blogspot.com and on her Facebook fan pages: https://www.facebook.com/ShelleyD.Giard and https://www.facebook.com/INeedTheHappyEnding " I am who I am because of the journey I have taken, and I know that it's not over." ~Shelley~

This book exceeded every expectation I had. I have got to say, it reads great. Smart, thought provoking but very easy to follow. I would recommend it to anyone dealing with loss or someone that has ever been on the receiving end of an abusive relationship, be it romantic of just a bully at school or work. In fact I just ordered 2 more for friends. Very inspirational story that gives you some hope when you've already given up. It will make you a better person.
Thank you Shelley for sharing your story with all of us.
When a tragic accident occurs, the ripple effects in a family can be devistating.
The author guides us though her heartbreak, and her resilience,to make a better life for her family. I loved this book.
