There is a lot of variety in the book, but certain themes are repeated. There is a strong emphasis on gratitude, positive self-talk, dreaming big (in life goals, etc.), trying new things, changing up daily routines, taking care of your body, getting your financial life in order, experiencing something positive (like laughter) every day, supporting other women, and setting priorities.
Some of the advice is genuinely insightful and helpful. For instance:
(*) Choose to spend time with people who make you feel like your best self.
(*) Know what is most important to you, and spend time doing it.
(*) Notice when you do something right.
(*) Consider that it might be best to not respond to inappropriate or critical remarks.
(*) Schedule recovery time after a big trip or stressful workweek, so as to avoid the sad "let down" feeling that fatigue tends to bring.
But there are some few cliche bombs in here, too...
(*) Dance like no one's watching!
(*) Don't indulge in self-pity for more than a day! Indulging less than five minutes is even better!
(*) Everything happens for a reason!
I especially grew tired of Fletcher's preoccupation with weight and food intake. I get that she wants to encourage women to take care of and accept their bodies. But she talks about weight issues so much that it ends up feeling oppressive instead of empowering.
Still, I do think this book is good for what it is: a nice little collection of basic and cheery lessons followed by doable action steps. I enjoyed reading it.

I have Diana's Book next to my bed to read daily. Today's nugget was "use fresh eyes in your home." See things differently. So I decided to shop in my own closet...finding shoes and clothes I had forgotten! What a simple yet perfect solution - re-looking and finding new (old) things... located right there beside me! Seeing things differently in a new perspective is what Diana does best as a coach. She shows us new ways to look at things. In writing this book, Diana has captured her same inspiring coaching approach assisting us to reach beyond our own limitations and bring happiness BACK INTO our lives.
So in the words of many others....I LOVE this book. 👏🏾😊 great job!
