I have used Cobra Grips and versa grippss. Both has some pros and cons however I was able to hold on to the pull up bar or weight after wrapping it..
Palm Protector Style Wrapping : It's hard to hold on these either on pull bar that is smooth such as old school squat racks top bars..
Advanced Wrapping for Pull Moves: I have used this on textured or smooth bars. I had crazy amount of forearm activation as I had to hold on tight on the straps..With similar products I was only using one or two finger tips sometimes nothing at all.

I often also do pull ups on square painted bars of smith machines etc.. I was not even able to do a single one with these..

Straps are also way too long and additional grip padding is causing high stress points on your palm.

Great quality but fall short

I bought these because it loaded straight down from the wrist. I was annoyed with how tradition straps would load the weight a slight angle to my wrist. I wasn't disappointed at first. It felt great. The quality was surprisingly good. I was really happy at first.

Unfortunately, the feeling didn't last. As good as these lifting grips felt, it didn't hold the weight as tightly as traditional straps. During my deadlift my working sets, the weight would give just a tad at the start of the lift -- from where my the grip comfortably sat at rest to where it would catch under load. The give wasn't much, but the lift felt awful. Sadly, I just ordered another $10 pair of traditional straps. It's time to go back.

I love everything about these. I used conventional straps for years until I saw these in action and wanted to try some for myself. So much less fiddling than straps and a rock solid grip once in place. The only thing I'd like to see done different is the wrist padding. I have to make sure that the padding doesn't displace and allow the buckle to contact my wrist. Not a huge deal but if I'm not careful I don't realize until mid-set and things are digging in pretty good at that point. A small adjustment and all is right in the world again. Overall, awesome product.

Have been using for a couple weeks now. Seemingly great durability & clever design. These wraps double as a protective hand guard as advertised. I ordered a small/med & am pleased with the fit for someone with smaller wrist size. However, if you are lifting heavier weight, be aware that the padding underneath the metal ring sometimes displaces & can cause discomfort in lifting. Although not advertised as such, the velcro wrist wrap is quite effective as just that - a supportive wrist wrap. I didn't give 5 stars only because the padding underneath the metal rings could be thicker & sometimes dislodges causing discomfort. ...would still recommend this product if you do not want to spend the $50-60 on Versa Grips. The clay-like moldable end piece on the wrap portion is a great added feature.

I use them more when doing back and it's a huge help on the grip and the inner hands when you get a grip. Also it's faster to get around in the bar instead of the straps. You can flip the palm grip back and use your bare hand in you like. Great product if you body build. Highly recommend.

Great pair of Grips. I didn't want to go completely without some coverage on my hands but many times I don't want to wear gloves. These are great. I'm still breaking them in but they aren't bulky, easily wrap around bars and if I don't want to really want to use the grip on an exercise I can chose not to and keep them on. All they need to do now is make them in pink :) Harbinger always makes great products.
