The heroine (Penny) came back to Bandit Creek hoping to find a closure to a family issue that I agree very troubling. Her character is three dimentional. I can feel her fear, her doubts, her dread, and her hopes. I love that her life is full before coming back to Bandit Creek which made her a very strong yet feminine heroine.
The two hero are as alive as the heroine. Craig is the one who stayed home and in his own right made a place for him on his own terms. I love the easy and playful air around him that made him more irrisistible than ever. His loyalty to the heroine is commendable and very heart-warming.
Mack, on the other hand, is the adventurer, wild one of the two. He just came back to Bandit Creek to finally put down some roots. In his case is the unrequited love for the heroine and an dead end attraction towards Craig. I love to see a man's man so in love he cannot his tails on end.
I love that the main characters are strong on their own as they came into the relationship. Yet they have their own vulnerabilities as well going in. Like I said the story, for me, is focused on the development of their impossible predicament rather than how good they are in bed. Not that I did not have a good sighs when they are at each other but it's a good break to read a romantic menage.
A keeper for me.
This is one of the better short erotic stories I have read.

Hard Candy is a step above any expectations you may have. It pushes the buttons for the Bandit Creek series but instead of hearing the alarm telling you to stop, all you hear is 'GO GO GO'.
Fabulous read! A must have!
