Natalie is a college student at a prestigious music school, but she's been a HUGE Feral Silence fan for a long time. She can't even get close to them without getting overly excited and nervous. Morris is the drummer for Feral Silence and he's a really quiet (and some would say shy) guy. He's sort of a mystery to all of the fans since he's so quiet and never even takes his shirt off like the rest of the bad members.
Natalie is friends with another girl who's dating one of the band members, so she gets invited to a release party one night and meets Morris. They seem to share some sparks during the party, but go separate ways. They eventually meet again at the same youth center where they both volunteer. They agree to do a 'school of rock' type thing for the youth and Natalie teaches piano while Morris teaches drums to those budding musicians.
I thought they were the cutest couple! Natalie babbled so much, but it was really cute and made her seem even more down to earth. Morris was incredibly sweet and caring and really looked out for Natalie. We eventually learn why Natalie wanted to keep Morris at a distance when she finds out her stalker has been released from prison. Of course, Morris wants to protect her because of his past where he couldn't protect someone he loved. As with most books, there ends up being misunderstandings and someone assumes the worse about someone else, but it's nothing dramatic and I liked that about this book. They didn't just break things off and go their separate ways for a while like you usually find in contemporary romances.
If you're looking for a sweet rock star romance, this is definitely the book for you! You'll fall in love with Morris like everyone else did and you'll have lots of goods laughs at Natalie's antics.
