We meet nineteen-year-old Elle Sullivan at a Southern California rock festival where she’s spending the weekend with her stepbrother and sister-in-law. She soon stumbles upon ex-metal thrasher, Tim “The Moth Man” Wade. Ten years Elle’s senior, he realizes he’s smitten with her and delighted when he discovers the feeling is reciprocated. And what a great guy he is. Environmentally conscious, The Moth Man holds doors, cooks breakfast, and even makes a playlist for his new love. I almost wondered if he would break out a cape and regale us with super powers. But later, we discover he battles a few demons of his own that Elle, with her kinks, helps expose.
As the story continues, an explosive affair ensues as Tim juggles time between his new flame and his “shred” school. Due to an accident almost a decade earlier, Tim can no longer play guitar for extended periods. But he makes the best of his situation by pouring himself into his successful business.
While all is great at first, the age gap is significant enough to cause a few hiccups. Elle is “bratty with a side of bitch,” and it shines when she feels Tim doesn’t show his love the way a young, immature girl might expect. In an attempt to make her new lover jealous, Elle ends up getting herself jammed up instead. But don’t dismay, The Moth Man comes to the rescue this time—even without the cape.
The story has a sweet and satisfying ending, as our little girl begins to grow up. All in all, this was a nice, heart-warming story with an interesting plot that was well delivered by the author. I highly recommend this five-star read to anyone who enjoys romance with a healthy sprinkling of steamy sex!
