I use a magnetic algae scraper (the type that clamp to the inside and outside magnetically to allow moving without hands getting wet) and these do a good job. However, they can't reach the edges well and harder spot-type algae takes quite a bit of movement to remove. I've also tried the long and short handled scrapers that have the thin metal blades (not razor blades - which would be better), but the metal is thick enough to etch the glass, which ruins the glass.
Ultimately, you have to get your hands wet and close enough to the algae to remove it from hard-to-reach areas and this scraper is perfect for that.
Good only for light duties around the house, and it's function and durability are on the lower end of the scale.
Now, the changes: Orange blades instead of blue. Not sure if they're different compositions, but they work.
No longer Made in the USA, now made in China.
Actually Didn't Scratch (at least to the naked eye)
Comes with a useful Handle
The thing may Flex, but it wouldn't really conform to the curved edges ( for the bumper or dash or various highly curved areas)
Overall, I would highly recommend the item for specific uses, mostly great on flat surfaces but when it comes to conformed edges, still use it but be careful at the various angles that could cause the blade to dig into the vinyl or paint causing a slight damage.
