Hardwired by West Virginia romance writer Andrea Bills is the perfect combining of genres. Parts sci-fi, lost love, romance and suspense make for a unique story. Luke Kiersey, who after giving everything for his country, is repaid with lies, deception and erasure of the life and love he knew before. Jen is a young widow struggling to raise her young daughter Bella.
The characters are well developed, and the reader is immediately invested in their story. Luke is an alpha male willing to do whatever it takes to protect the family he doesn't remember. Jen is strongly written female character who after losing her husband doubted she would ever find love again. Bills' engaging story with twists and turns you don't see coming takes us on the journey with Luke as he discovers what he thought was real is actually a web of lies designed to manipulate him. He's a man the government can't control once he discovers the truth. Will he be able to find his way back to the life and love he's only starting to remember? I truly enjoyed this story, I was worried that I wouldn’t because I knew partly what the synopsis of the story was. I normally jump in the books I read totally blind, I like not knowing what the book is about.

Romantic Navy Suspense with a splash of Sci-Fi. I was worried about the hint of Sci-Fi, but it worked for this story. Andrea Bills kept me on my toes with this. The suspense will have you thirsty for the next chapter. The twist and turns totally blindsided me, I never saw that coming.

Oh Luke! As intimidating he comes across, he is a total mush to those he loves. Don’t mistake that as a weakness because he will hunt you down if you go after those he loves.

Jen Kiersey moved.to the quite beach side town with her infant daughter 5 years ago, after her husband lost his life in a mission. She.misses him every day. Struggles to move forward, while making sure their daughter knows how much he loved her.
Luke can't seem to keep his eyes off the women and little girl next door. He is drawn to the them and he doesn't know why. His handler is worried. Luke is becoming suspicious.
When Jen and Luke come face to face and he learns what was taken from him. He is determined to reconnect with his lost family. His creators aren't so willing to let him go.
Fast paced, Si Fi, romantic suspense. A great epilogue to wrap up their story that leave room for the possibility of a series.

I wasn't sure what to think when I first started reading this one. There was a part of it that was so different, it was hard for me to grasp, but as I kept reading, I decided that was one of the things I loved best about it. It's full of action and suspense, two of my favorite things. It sucked me in from the beginning, and now I want to know what's going to happen with others in the story, especially Dean. His story is next!

Hardwired was an emotional roller coaster which had me in tears in the begging and in the end! I read this book in one day because it was that good and kept me wanting to read! A romantic suspense with a little sci-fi mixed in makes this for a great story. A navy seal love story of Luke, a seal who can’t remember his past. He is controlled by the government and when he takes leave and finds a little girl and her momma that have got a hold of his heart. He has to figure out if he can live without them. This story is one of love, loss and finding love again. Andrea did an awesome job of keeping this story interesting and entertaining.

She keeps us on the edge of our seat, which is exactly what I like in a good story, the hint of mystery and suspense. Andrea Bills knows how to pull all the right strings to keep you there, head down on the kindle, swiping page after page. Wow, not your usual military romance and thank god for that.
Flawlessly written, one of the best reads of 2018. Brava!

Where to begin? I was totally caught off guard and shocked...and I loved every word of it. Andrea’s characters are always special and make you feel what they’re feeling. I wanted to jump right in, take control and make everything better. I wanted to cry, scream, throw my phone/kindle, squeeze Bella’s cheeks and jump some soldier hotties. My heart rate and adrenaline totally spiked multiple times throughout the story, and I love that feeling in a book. Thank you, Andrea for another great story and heart warming characters!!! I can’t wait to read what comes next!

This book first caught my attention because of the cover. Ooohhh Lala! Then the prologue had me crying my eyes out. I just HAD to keep turning the pages. And I kept turning until the very last word. What an incredible story. Riveting, intriguing and so REAL. The characters are so... so.... I am at a loss for a word but I wanna be in their circle. Looking forward to more from this author!
