I have just finished this book, and I was not disappointed! As with Big And Bright by the same author, this book combined astronomy, history, and biography. Three things that I love to read. The book follows a team of astronomers in the 70's to record a solar eclipse as it occurred in Africa at the time. I found the story fascinating, and leavened with Profesor Evans' humor. The book also contains some great black and white photos of the team, called with humor Harlan' s Globetrotters, After Harlan Smith. There are also photos of the area where the scientists worked. All in all, a very good read. I can highly recommend this book to anyone interested in these things. I have other books by the author in my library as well as some on my wishlist. I am looking forward to reading these as well.
