About this item
- Nam Hom Coconuts - Found in Thailand, every Nam Hom farm we work with is organic certified - grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers or sewage sludge
- Like Drinking From A Coconut - Never thermally pasteurized! We use a proprietary multi-step micro-filtration process. No extra ingredients, our Harmless Harvest coconut water is the closest you can come to drinking straight from the coconut
- No Sugar Added - Nothing is added to our coconut water. The 14g of sugar in each serving is naturally occurring just like the electrolytes (making it a good source of potassium)
- Naturally Pink - Our Coconut Water is totally clear when we bottle it, and afterwards some bottles turn pink due to varying levels of antioxidants and interaction with elements, such as light. We do not use thermal pasteurization to process our coconut water or acidify our coconut water (by addition of ingredients like ascorbic acid), so it has a tendency to turn a pink hue over time. Instead of hiding this element by adding Vitamin C / Ascorbic Acid, we choose to embrace it
- Keep It Cool - Please refrigerate immediately upon arrival for best experience! We've spent years perfecting a filtration process to keep our coconut water tasting distinctly fresh. This makes it safe to ship non-refrigerated. Shake well before consuming!
- Fair For Life - Certified for our commitment to social accountability and fair trade. For the communities where we farm and bottle, our commitment translates to new school uniforms, water filtration systems, and mobile medical trucks for preventative healthcare

Because this brand seemed to have all the things i wanted, it was 12oz, close enough to 11oz, and because it was pure coconut water, and because the ingredients said that was all that was in it, i accepted having to pay a much higher price than all the other coconut waters. When the first shipment arrived (i got two shipments, one from WholeFoods which i could get next day, and the other larger order directly from this company which took longer to come (but the company did ship it really fast and it arrived earlier than estimated, i appreciate that). When i drank the coconut water, i was disappointed because it was very sweet. I guess their coconut water is sweeter than other coconut waters i've drank over the years. Unlike some reviewers, i would not say it was bad at all, if you want sweetness that's more than a mild aftertaste, i thought it was great, really good, but that wasn't what i wanted. it's very smooth and i like sweet as much as the next person, but in coconut water i'm looking for the kind of mild sweetness i dont' even taste at first.
So this is just me, i read many of the reviews now, not before i ordered, and i see many people like the sweetness a lot and i can see why. But i was disappointed. i looked at the ingredients and the list of vitamins, sodium, and sugars. It says on the contiainer of one serving, 20 grams of sugars. On the description on the Amazon page, it says 14 grams of sugar per serving, in the list of things they say about what's good about it. My 12 oz serving says 20 grams of sugars. The kind of coconut water i drank before had 13 grams of sugar in an 11 oz serving. This Harmless kind said it had 14 grams in a 12 oz serving, so i thought that was close enough. No wonder it's sweeter than i thought it would be, 20 grams is a lot of sugar and obviously tastes much sweeter than the 13 grams of sugars i'm used to. i'm sure it must be hard for the company that makes it to please people who want it to be more sweet and people who want it to be less sweet. i would just say, it would have helped me avoid buying something i didn't want if they would put the right amount of the contents on their Amazon description. At the end of the list of nutritional contents, there's a hyperlink that says Report incorrect information. So i clicked on that and filled a out a short form, but when i got to the comments where i could tell them which information is incorrect, the form wouldn't let me type anything. Rightly or wrongly, this gave me the feeling they weren't really interested. It was a lot of money, and i know i'm taking my chances when i order something, but these negative experiences add up.
Happily i found another brand that has the taste i'm looking for. That one has a couple of other problem issues for me, i will try to figure out how to adapt to that, and will keep looking for a brand that has everything i want and need, and hope that Trader Joes will get theirs back in, and with the little straws.
