In the first game they just went back and forth. Now they rush at you super fast. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME NIGHTMARES. I can never let someone else play the game when the fire snails show up because I'm always like "NO THEY'RE RIGHT BEHIND YOU RUN! NO NOT THAT WAY! NOOOOOO!"
If you're not worried about being terrified within an inch of your life, this is a great game. The people in Hogwarts are hilarious. My favorite thing ever about this game is this one Slytherin boy who says, "Either I'm gripped by fear or my shoes are too tight," when you bump into him. It's just so random and awesome and hilarious, because he says it in this serious voice. Also it looks sort of odd when Harry find Ginny in the Chamber of Secrets.
When Ron's stuck in the whomping wilow, he's all like "I THINK I SEE A SENSITIVE SPOT RIGHT THERE!" and there's a huge Flipendo sign right under him. Yeah, duh, Ron.
Anyway, I love this game. Go buy it!
The graphics aren't up to par for many PC games coming out in the same period, but are significantly improved from the last game. The save points feel awkward, as most of them are in the middle of objectives (a complaint of mine in the Sorcerer's Stone game). There has been improvement in exploring freely, but none of the stuff to do with this new-found freedom was interesting enough to use it much. A new complaint of mine that the first game surprisingly didn't have was camera issues. There were many times while playing this that my camera whirled around on it's own and trying to readjust the camera made me dizzy because it wanted to keep spinning back around. When doing challenged/tasks, you also get locked out of sections for good, meaning you can't go back and get that wizard card or star if you took a different path (unless you replay the entire challenge).
I did manage to finish this game, but I was still pretty bored most of the time and there is no way I'm playing through again. There are much more enjoyable games out there for the same price or cheaper.
