This DS version is not that great. The first thing I noticed is they don't have the movie soundtrack on the starter page. We at least deserve that. The graphics are dismal. The character movement is choppy and the control can be difficult. The cut scenes are atrocious, just awful. The characters within the videos look like moving polygons. I know from seeing cut scenes from Lego Harry Potter and any of the Mario games that the DS is capable of churning out a half way decent video. I was really hoping for a good game. I found it boring and cheap looking. The Co-Op play is not that good either. You run around trying to collect more mothballs (or whatever those things are) then the other player. Here is the catch. You are BOTH HARRY unless your pal has a cartridge too! There isn't much to playing with a friend either, you will be hitting your power buttons before you can say mischief managed! Now don't get me wrong, this game does have its merits. It's easy, so if you're a kid it's a playable game. Older Harry Potter geeks beware! If you ever dressed up for a midnight showing or even waited in line for any of the book releases, this game isn't for you. I'm off to cast reducto on this cartridge!

This game is alot of fun because its a game with many puzzles and challenges to solve. The game might be hard at times but in the end you will solve the puzzle and advance on to the next. The game was so awesome that I finished it the whole game in one week, but was sad that there wasn't more levels to be solved. One thing that I don't like about the game is in order to play different characters in multiplayer mode you need two DS cards. The character that you only play without two Ds cards is Harry Potter. The characters that you end up playing in the game is Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley, Neville Longbottom, Seamus Finnigan, Minerva Mcgonogal (Proffessor Mcgonogal), and Proffessor Flitwick. As you can see this game is one of the best out there in the gaming world.

This game has me so frustrated. I asked for the Lego HP DS games for Christmas but was mistakenly given this. Since my family received the Lego HP 5-7 for the Wii I thought I would keep this game anyway to get a little variety. I should have stuck with my gut and exchanged it for the Lego game.

1. The music on this game is horrible. There is absolutely no Harry Potter music on this game- not even Hedwig's Theme! Instead they have some made up music that repeats every 7 seconds. Horrible.

2. Too much stylus. The game requires that you use the stylus to do just about everything, but I much prefer to use the control pad. You have the option of using it but then your character moves less smoothly and you end up falling off cliffs. They stylus is also hard to move the character because you kind of have to drag the character to where you want it to go, but the movement is smoother than using the control pad. Either way is horrible really.

3. The graphics are just decent. Not what you would expect from such a large franchise like Harry Potter.

4. Game difficulty greatly varies. There is no gradual increase of difficulty. Some parts will be super easy but in the next second you are facing an obstacle that is nearly impossible to pass. For example, the dragon in Gringotts part is not that difficult once you figure out the rocks you're supposed to throw at it are very sensitive. However, suddenly half of the ground is on fire, tons of moving flames are coming directly at you, rocks are falling from the ceiling, and the dragon is breathing fire all over the place. This part is practically impassable.

5. The game also skips over and edits some crucial parts of the book/film. The game starts off with you trapped in the basement with Ollivander and Luna.
