Lisa Kessler is a Best Selling author of passionate, page-turning paranormal fiction. She's a two-time San Diego Book Award winner for Best Published Fantasy-Sci-fi-Horror and Best Published Romance. Her books have also won the PRISM award, the Award of Excellence, the National Excellence in Romantic Fiction Award, the Award of Merit from the Holt Medallion, and an International Digital Award for Best Paranormal.

I have only read the first four books of the series n feel each deserves the rating of five. Even tho it is a series each book is stand alone. U will like these stories if u enjoy wolves, strong women, romance, love n family values while being attacked by evil on all sides. Just remember, family means everything!

Another great installment in the Moon Series by Lisa Kessler! Once again we are treated to a wonderful love story and given an additional layer to the Nero story arc.

I have to admit, Jason is one wolf that I really have not liked. He’s a jerk. He’s a hothead. I really haven’t found any redeeming qualities about him. So going into this book knowing I wasn’t a fan of the hero I knew this was going to be an interesting read. But as usual, Lisa Kessler works her magic, and I found myself liking Jason and wanting him to find his happy ever after. I can’t say he’s my favorite wolf, but watching him with Kilani and seeing a different side of him, and knowing that finding his mate has started to heal him, I have to say that Jason has found a spot in my heart.

Kilani was the perfect match for Jason. Strong and out spoken, ready to call Jason out when he needed it. I loved her background and loved learning about her family history. She’s got all sorts of baggage she’s dealing with, being on Nero’s hit list is just the most recent and perhaps the most deadly. Her trust issues run deep and long, and Jason has his work cut out for him.

One of my favorite things about this series is how the paranormal aspects are woven into the story. From werewolves to psychics, each book introduces paranormal elements but still manages to keep a realness to the story. I love that I end up getting caught up in the emotions of the story, feeling right along with the characters. Whether they are dealing with a supernatural issue or something that could happen to anyone, the emotion that surrounds each event is so real that it’s easy to believe that Lisa Kessler’s world really exists.

It was great to catch up with other members of the pack and meet some new characters that I hope we’ll get to see some more of, especially Kilani’s grandmother. I loved learning a bit more about Nero and having more of the blanks filled in when it comes to Sebastian.

Although this book can be read as a standalone I would recommend starting at the beginning and getting the whole wolf pack experience. Another must read from Lisa Kessler!

Jason's faith in himself and his abilities as a Doctor are completely shaken. He couldn't save Malcolm, his former Alpha, he trusted the wrong person while trying to help Nadya, and that led to his Dad, Wyatt, being severely injured and in a coma. Jason knows every day his Dad stays in the coma means the likelihood of him recovering grow less and less. The only thing that seems to quiet his guilt, his rage, is fighting for an underground organization. But that's not even working like it used to. He needs more and more to the point he's fighting too much and not giving his body the time it needs to heal.

Kilani, a nurse, helped Jason save his Dad and she's back trying to find out why his Dad hasn't been admitted. If she can't reconcile the medication she used for a legitimate reason she could lose her job. She needs the patient to have that balance out though. She's also on the run from Nero, due to not only her psychic abilities, but also because of what she knows. She found her roommate, and Sebastian's girlfriend, Grace, after Nero tortured and murdered her to teach Sebastian a lesson.

Jason and Kilani are brought together through circumstances and Jason realizes she is his mate. Getting Kilani to accept that will not be easy. Not only is she in hiding, she hasn't seen her Grandma in over a decade, and she's been burned before in two previous relationships with Doctors, badly burned.

Not only does Jason need to work through his issues, he also needs to explain to Kilani that he's a werewolf, she's his mate, and help protect her from Nero. Easy peasy, right? Of course not. I highly recommend you read this book, this series, and see how Jason and Kilani find their HEA.

In Harvest Moon, Jason is struggling with his abilities as the pack doctor after what happened to his father and Malcolm. He doesn't believe in finding his perfect mate, even though other pack brothers have found theirs. Harvest Moon is the fourth book in the Moon Series and it picks up shortly after Blood Moon.

Jason is struggling to come to terms with the events in Blood Moon, his father is still in a coma and remains unresponsive, his temper is building after he inadvertently brought Nero into Pack business while trying to help and now his whole world is tilted on it's axis when Kilani storms back into his life.

Kilani was a breath of fresh air, yes she has trust issues and a history but I truly liked her. It was great seeing Jason's beliefs being shook up when he realised exactly what was happening. I loved how Lisa incorporated other myths into the story. I love how you never quite know what to expect when she tells a story. Although in my review for Moonlight (book 1) I stated that I had a hunch on Sebastian's secrets and can I just say I was right!! I finally got the confirmation I needed in this book. Can't wait for the next one!

Some series dwindle or fade as they progress and some have lots of 'meanwhile' books but so far no meanwhiles and still love the character development. Each book has built on the previous ones and although you could read them as stand alone novels you do get more out of them by reading them in order and knowing people from the books before.
All in all a series that is growing and developing that I am enjoying very much.
