Product description

Harvest Song's fruits are grown near the Biblical mount Ararat. Armenia's vertical topography is approximately 10,000 feet above Sea level. The fruits are grown in ideal conditions of volcanic soil and surrounding Spring waters. At Harvest Song, we pride ourselves in creating hand-made preserves. We pack only during the harvest season. The fruits are grown in a chemical and pesticide-free environment. During the harvest season, we pick only the ripest fruits from the farms on a daily basis; our cannery uses minimal knives and the fruits are carefully hand inspected. We slow-cook with a little bit of pure cane sugar and citric acid (tiny amount of lemon juice for acidity). All formulas and each harvest is selected by Sylvia Tirakian. No preservatives, no Pectin. All jars are decorated with handmade rice paper from Kathmandu, Nepal.

Our family truly enjoys eating fresh figs, which of course are a seasonal fruit. The idea of preserving figs for off season edible enjoyment is not a new one, but times being what they are, I am no longer afforded the opportunity to set up and preserve fruit at home. Having shopped around, there are many company s capable of preserving fig fruit. But, it is of my family's opinion that Harvest Song stands out as having mastered not only the preserving of the fruit, but has also mastered the preserving of that home made goodness. Golden delicious, 2 Thumbs up!! We will purchase again

muah, muah, muah - i heart you fig preserves. i adore you on some pizza, a sandwich, some aged cheese, beside some fresh fruit, with some peanut butter...ah the possibilities. AND i love that you are runny and not thick and congealed. i have no wish to make my own fig preserve or jam, since i have found a perfect mate in you.

i wish you shipped to hawaii, but i'll take you anyway i can.

For the Fig Starved

I grew up in Southern California and there was a fig tree in practically every back yard then. Try and find a fresh fig in a SoCal supermarket now. So fig lovers search for them everywhere and these preserves bring back wonderful memories. Maybe just a little too sweet for some tastes but that's a small price to pay. Try a tablespoon on a little less than a cup of Greek yogurt. Absolutely delicious for under 200 calories and the yogurt is practically a perfect food.

I grew up in the south enjoying fig preserves and I have to say these Harvest Song Golden Fig preserves are the best fig preserves I have ever tasted. I find myself wanting to put them on everything. But a hot biscuit in the morning is my favorite. Will buy no other fig preserves from now on.

This was a gift for my 90 year old grandmother. She was so pleased with your product she didn't want to eat it too fast and use it up! If her friends were very lucky they got a taste of it too. No one had ever tasted a fig spread as delicious as yours. This is high praise indeed seeing as no one was younger than 70! I want to add my thanks to you for making me the best grand-daughter ever!

We are now on our third jar of the three jars I purchased and have thoroughly enjoyed all three. I looked for a long time to find fig preserves that were as good as I used to make and believe me, these are better (and no mess too!) I am stunned by the negative comment as we think it tastes terrific! I am going to purchase more for Christmas gifts!

Excellent Fig Jam!

Cannot say enough how good this is. While we have some Harvest Song products around the supermarkets they have yet to carry the Golden Fig. Once it's gone we order some more!
