Although Cecily Lovewell enjoys being part of a well-known country band, she wishes the fact was known that many of their songs were written by her and not the member who is her former boyfriend. Coming to Summerland, Tennessee to help celebrate the marriage of her good friend turned into an eye-opening event, as the groom and several other men turned into dragons. One of them, Rafe, definitely made a big impression on her, but she knows getting back to the band is her duty. Yet her friendship and an opportunity at her own happiness has Cecily staying in the mountain community, where the unimaginable frequently happens.
What takes place in HARVEST SPELL is often emotional, but there are also so lighthearted moments that caused me to laugh. Several of them involves the older enchantress, as she certainly does not hold back when it comes to speaking her mind. The instances where feelings are on display are genuinely realistic, and Cecily plus Rafe have some painful memories which frequently control their present behavior. Worry over what might possibly occur has held these two back in the past, and I really hoped they would fight for what they desired. As they look deep within themselves for the direction that they should follow, unforeseen events add to their confusion. With the way the book ended, I am very eager to discover the next scene. Rating – 4.5 Stars
Rafe thought he had found his mate in Caroline, but she had gotten sick and died. He is sure his chance at love is gone and all he has left is his thunder and their duty to protect Summerland Valley. Ever since Cecily came to town for Monique's mating ceremony he has been thinking he might still have a chance to find a mate and regain the ability to shift into his dragon form. When she leaves to return to Nashville he knows he has to go after her and convince her to return, even if he has to use her friendship with Monique to do it. His dragon insists that there is much more to Cecily than he knows, but can he really put Caroline in the past and look to his future?

Magic, mystery, a thunder of dragons and building romance all combine to create and entertaining story in this great series.

So long as they each have the strength and courage to trust each other love will find a way.
The story flows well, the plotline is well thought out and the characters are all well defined. Cecily and Rafe's story is a true love story, where love wins over darkness, by the end of this one I was smiling.
