Why companies always feel that they need to "better" classics is beyond me. The classics were and always be classics for a reason. An Oreo with vanilla cookies is not an Oreo.
The game no longer has cards; instead it has noises indicating which item to remove. My family found the noises to be irritating, loud, and sometimes inconsistent. It didn't feel like the same game without the cards. Everything doesn't have to be electronic to be enjoyable or appealing. Using noises instead of cards seems like a "dumbing down" of the game. Does anyone read anymore?
The pieces have been changed and are much easier to remove rendering the game much less challenging. Even our 4 yr. old had no problem removing the pieces. Our game was over in seconds. My daughter found some of the pieces to be humorous; the frog, the boogers, the bubbles. However, those pieces were rubbery and the easiest to remove.
My brother's and I really enjoyed this game as kids. My daughter (6 years old) mopped the whole floor to earn this game. She was so excited. But it did not work. Right out of the box it was broken. The buzzers do not go off when you touch the sides. I see from the reviews that I am not the only to have this happen. Very disappointing.
I think aside from the flimsiness of the board itself, the only thing that bugs me is the new items for removal. It used to have "Adam's Apple (apple in the throat), Broken Heart (Heart with a crack in it), Wrenched Ankle (wrench in the ankle) , Butterflies in the Stomach (Butterfly in the torso), Spare Ribs (2 ribs together as one piece), Water on the Knee (pail of water on the knee) , Funny Bone (A bone in the arm) , Charley Horse (Horse in the leg) , Writer's Cramp (pencil in the forearm) Wish Bone (wish bone in the chest), Bread Basket (piece of bread in the stomach) and Brain Freeze(ice cream cone in the head)"
But now it has Snot in the hair, a bird's nest in the hair, gas bubbles, a cell phone in the thumb, poison farts, etc. You get the point. More potty humor which bums me out. Just doesn't seem as witty as it once was.
All in all, we are currently having fun playing it, just isn't what I remember.

Played this classic game when I was a child so I decided to get it as a gift for a friends child. The whole family loved it. Classic toy games = a great family time. Read morePublished 6 months ago by TimiP
The contents of this game were for a completely different game than the box shows. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering it was a Christmas present for my son.Published 7 months ago by LB
The openings are too wide and pretty easy for the kids to do. Not like the one I had as a kid.Published 8 months ago by Blonde Babe
Hasbro ruined a perfectly good game. There was nothing wrong with the old version. Someone at the Hasbro company needed a performance report bullet to boost their score. Read morePublished 9 months ago by SailorJoe
