I liked that the eight steel balls are stowed in a little nook underneath the game -- with kids, those balls would be gone in a day if they couldn't be stowed with the game unit.
As others have noted, this game unit plays a few other games besides a regular nine-inning game. That's added fun.
I think it would have been better to have an LED scoreboard showing the inning and the score. You have to rely on the announcer's voice to keep track of the game. Also, the only fragile part of the game is the little trampoline -- if it rips or tears, the game is history, and I don't see anything about how to order a replacement trampoline. It'd be a shame to toss a $25 game because the trampoline ripped or had a hole poked through it.
In all, this was a good value for the money. I bet college students who like baseball would enjoy a game like this, as well as the younger kids. The game has a great blend of skill and luck so it can really fuel competitiveness among the players.
The bad... when those little metal marbles riquochet, hitting the table or glass platters on the dining room table. Not a good thing. Or when you loose a marble under the couch.
I didn't receive 10 metal balls... only 8; and the box claims to only have to contain 8 balls!

Features 4 different games and a convenient storage tray that is discretely hidden underneath.
* Home Run Hot Shot (Our favorite!!)
* Half-Inning Rally
* 30 Seconds at Bat (Nerve racking with the clock running down)
* 9 Inning Match-Up
Our eldest is 6 and we wouldn't trust her with the metal balls flying all over the house. Maybe in 2 years.
Is it fun for the kids? Sure. But at our house it seems to be more fun for the adults. :-)
The unit has four different "games:
- a 1/2-inning rally: how many runs can you get before making 3 outs?
- most home runs you can make with a max of 10 "outs"
- most runs you can score in 30 seconds (regardless of the # of "outs")
- a nine-inning matchup between two players
We also got Bulls-Eye Ball, also from Hasbro ... and between these two games, we have a lot of fun.
NOTE: The game says it's for ages 7+. My observation is that younger kids (7-9) *may* lack motor skills to do well, and therefore may not experience the same enjoyment as older kids (or adults!).
Also, to minimize the possiblity of losing the steel balls from an errant throw, we play on a carpeted floor.
