Being a mom can be a challenge, but the Baby Alive doll comes with plenty of cool accessories to make parenting easier. The doll comes with a dress, diapers, feeding utensils, bottle, bib, four food packets, and other accessories. The roomy diaper bag has places to store the bowl, spoon, and bottle. Mom will be prepared for diaper changes, as this set also includes two extra doll diapers. Best of all, four AA batteries are provided to make this 16-inch baby come alive.
Originally introduced in 1973, Baby Alive has been re-born and is now even more like a real infant. Little girls love to take care of her and she is always ready to play, laugh, and talk for hours of amusement. Moms in the making will enjoy giving her a bottle and changing her messy diaper. She really eats and expresses her satisfaction by saying, "Mmm, Good." She also lets mommy know when its time to be changed by saying, "Uh-oh, I made a stinky!" When Baby Alive gets tired, she becomes drowsy and eventually falls asleep. She also speaks, has facial expressions, and her big, blue eyes really move.

I ordered the doll from Amizon (this site) and it arrived in perfect condition within the time period I had specified (two days.
My granddaughter was so HAPPY upon receiving this doll - and turned out to be quite the 'little mommy'. She loves taking care of 'her baby'. The doll talks and blows kisses and on and on.
Other than the diaper runs (my granddaughter goes through tons of diapers)the only thing that must be done, is to clean out the dolls mouth after feedings (of course).
And back to the diaper deal, I opted to simply purchase the cheapest pack of newborn diapers on the market - to those of us on a budget, this is the least expensive way than having to purchase the ones specifically made for the doll.
My granddaughter is still enjoying 'her baby' many days, & weeks after receiving her.
Would I recommend this doll for a young little lady? You bet!!
Overall, I'm very impressed with the doll. She has held up to a 2 year old jamming a spoon in her mouth repeatedly (and holding it there). Her hair combs easily, and unlike others, I'm very happy that her hair is thin - it's more realistic and doesn't get tangled. So far, we've been lucky - my daughters have been happy pretending to feed the dolls, so we haven't had the mess yet. (I had a Baby Alive in the 80s, so I remember the mess!) We bought a pack of real diapers so we're ready for changes, though. I thought a dollar a piece for the Baby Alive diapers was ridiculous! As for some other complaints I read - yes, the lip paint has worn off from the many (pretend) feedings. We also had to replace the batteries after only 2 days, but they played with constantly in those 2 days! I think these things are only small problems that are greatly outweighed by the joy my daughters have gotten from their dolls. They have taken them everywhere and really enjoy feeding and loving them.
