Description
The Lie detector game is ridiculously fun and might shock you when you discover what your friends really think. The voice analysis in this adult party game is designed to detect subtleties in a person's voice to help you discover who's telling the truth, and who's not. Player in the hot seat is asked high-stakes Yes or no questions such as, "if you found out your friend committed a horrible crime, would you turn them in?" create your own bombshell fill-in-the-blank Yes or no questions such as "would you ever ____ in an elevator?" or make up any Yes or no question you want! Keep in mind that the unit's voice analysis technology won't work as well when asking insignificant questions such as "is the sky blue?" keep the questions high-stakes. Keep them juicy. Tell the truth and earn points; a lie gives the point to your opponent. After everyone has been in the hot seat, The player with the most points wins.

The card deck of questions is a bonus to give you a head start.
Although it can get a bit monotonous after a while
There are two decks of cards included and each card has two questions on it. With two people playing and using only one of the questions on each card, we went through all of the included cards in a fairly short period of time, and we did experience an occasional repeat of a question. Granted, there are two questions to each card, so we can go a second round before using up all of the questions. A few of the cards had questions with blanks in the middle where you insert your choice of words to complete the question. This was really good, in that I used that type of question multiple times and just inserted different words. In my opinion, if they made all the cards that way (with a fill in the blank), the game would have more appeal as it would last a lot longer. Granted, you can make up your own questions, and perhaps, we may write some, but that takes effort and isn't that the purpose of the game's inventors and why you paid them for the product?---so that you wouldn't have to? LOL.
After playing this game, we ordered a real voice analyzer which allows you to ask/use something other than just "yes/no" questions. We plan to experiment and compare it's accuracy to this toy. I will keep you posted. 😊

GAMEPLAY: Play provides a "Yes" or "No" answer based on the card on their hand. The device were supposed to detect whether it's a lie or not. You have to speak specifically to a location on the device so it's very easy for the device to miss it. In fact, I returned it because the device can't tell when I'm lying or not, in fact it just kept saying it cannot be determine which is useless. :(
AESTHETIC: The device looks like it's contained in a highly secure case. However this design looks aged and nothing high-tech.
MECHANIC: It's very easy to work. You put batteries in, turn it on and speak into the designated area. It will then play a brief animation on the screen and let you know whether you're lying, not lying, or cannot determine. The battery compartment is very odd. There's a plastic piece that separate the 3 pieces of battery which is not necessary at all.
QUALITY: It's made of plastic, but it looks like it would have last with the except of the plastic pieces that separate the batteries.
