I bought this out of anticipation for the movie and was pleased to see all of the D&D nods in the design as well as the great paint apps and reasonable articulation. Hasbro's Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves line appears to be one step below their GI Joe Classified figures in terms of articulation. With this movie line Hasbro is leaning more in the likeness and paint application direction: there is no mistaking that this is Simon from the movie and even the accessories have 2-3 paint decos. There are a lot of great details such as gentle weathering on the hem of the cape and the has a tampograph and paint on the "bag of holding" accessory. Joints were VERY stiff out of the box, I would recommend a warm water "bath" to loosen them to avoid snapping. Overall, Simon is a very solid figure with somewhat limited elbow and shoulder articulation due to the cape and molded cloth of the shirt.

One thing I really like about all these D&D figures by Hasbro so far is that the paint jobs have been consistently excellent. Very precise, clear masking used on all parts. In fact the paint job is the best of all Hasbro action figure lines right now. Issues with this figure are the same as most Hasbro action figures these days. Stiff joints on some areas while super loose on others, making posing or even just standing straight up a challenge. Bare minimum accessories is also a minus.
