Guess Opponents Mystery Character This Guess Who? game goes back to the tabletop style boards, styled after the original, rather than handheld boards. Each player chooses a mystery character and then using yes or no questions, they try to figure out the other player’s mystery character. When they think they know who their opponent's mystery character is, they take a guess. If the guess is wrong, that player loses the game! Players can also challenge opponents to a series of games in the Championship Series, where the first player to win 5 games is the Guess Who? champion.	Ask Quick and Clever Questions Players ask yes-or-no questions about their opponent's card, such as "does your character wear glasses?" If the answer is no, the asker closes the doors on characters with glasses, leaving the remaining possibilities open. If the answer is yes, they close the doors on characters without glasses. Worked great for my craft project. I repurposed this game with pictures of my partners and I favorite the characters. I printed the pictures and names on a sticker paper in the rough dimension of the cards, laid it flat on the cards and trimmed the excess tape around the edges. It came out smooth and works great. I’ve decided to make more themes for us to switch out to play in the future.

I didn’t really care for this product. The old games had a variety of people that looked different. In this game almost everyone has either black or brown hair. Also almost everyone is darker complected. This would be fine but every character almost looks the exact same. It makes it harder for kids to actually understand what characters they should put down after asking a question. It also make the game go by really fast because there aren’t many questions to ask in this game. For the price it’s okay but if your playing with a little kid it’s harder to explain. I honestly don’t think I would buy this product again. I will buy a different Version of this game with more of a variety of people.

Been playing on an old board with my daughter and decided to get some new faces on this edition. Some of the character traits are hard to explain, one kid had a blue tip hair color which you can barely see, some people are light tan and dark tan, hard to explain this to a 7 year old. Maybe keep it more simple Hasbro.

Update: the eBay one from Hasbro was false advertising. When it arrived it's still this sub par board. They refunded me though. I found original board at Walmart

Why!? Why did they mess up a good thing! These new boards are awful. They stick and are really annoying. None of that satisfying click clack I remember or being able to just tilt the board and they all fall open or closed. Nope. You have to force or reposition several of them. I ended up ordering an original board on eBay direct from hasbro for ten bucks and I’ll give this away. I don’t get it if they are still selling the original model why sell this subpar board?

Hasbro has changed the original version of the game to a more multicultural set of characters. This might have seemed like a noble idea to the executive behind it, but now 75% of them are dark skinned so it pushes children into reinforced stereotypes. Your little ones knock down half the board with "male/female" questions, then the next most efficient question is asking about their skin color. I'm not going to hover over my kids to make sure they don't accidentally point out skin color either.

The intent of the original game for children to notice minute details about an individual. They should have changed the characters to dinosaurs or something. I can't have my kids sit around a table asking if their person is black. They hardly even have any real diversity either. Most characters are dark skinned, there is hardly any Asian representation, and no obvious Hispanic characters. Just various shades of brown and a few token whites. We have more people in the world than a bunch of blacks and whites.

The card holders on the game board are also poorly designed and they don't fall properly. This is a huge fail.

This seems to be popular with adults who play kid games, but if you're buying this FOR children, I'd recommend something else unless you want them to notice race immediately.

The cards are thick enough to withstand their roughness and there is enough diversity amongst the characters to keep the game going. (I loved the original as a kid but there were only 5 girls and about 25 boys so it wasn’t always a fair game).

Same game that I played as a kid in the early 90s, only with updated characters with more current names and looks. This newer version has about 50% males % females as compared to the version decades ago with only 5 girls.
I like that the characters are of different races, have varying hair styles, and both genders have dyed hair and jewellery. It allows for more question options, and also inherently teaches acceptance of diversity to those playing (like my 3 and 5 year old who enjoy the game).

Good game for ages 6 and up I would say. My 5 year old can play on her own but doesn’t quite get strategy yet. My three year old likes playing too but does best being on someone’s “team”.

Only complaint is the quality. Game boards and character cards are much thinner/ flimsier quality than I had hoped. Unfortunately this just seems to be the way many games are made these days.

It's different than the original not just in how the characters look, but in balance. It used to be that there were five of each thing... five women, five dark skinned, five glasses, five blond, brown, silver haired, etc. Now it's a lot more balanced. This game should be easy to play for most people. I suffer from a condition where I cannot tell races apart, and am slightly colour blind ,as in I have trouble telling darks and lights of a colour apart, so we have to avoid using that aspect of the game, but it still is very playable despite those, and we have a blast with it, over and over again. I also love that there is no way to cheat at this game, something we are trying to teach a little one here not to do.
