It was definitely fun reliving my youth through my child, at least for a split second. As a former owner of the original G1, I'll tell you this Devestator dosent hold a stick to that one.
All the original diecast bits we're replaced with plastic. Many of the joints are too loose for my liking. The weapons that used to have a spring loaded firing action, don't anymore.
Assembly into Devastator is another awful story. Many of the connections are too tight.
The head broke off because of bad glue placement.
I wish I would have steered clear of this one. Hopefully this helps with your decision.

I’m disappointed with the misleading details of this product. My 6-year-old son, who doesn’t understand that this toy isn’t made anymore, wanted it more than anything for Christmas. We finally found this one that had all six figures, so we actually paid $120 for it. It came in an original box with the six figures and a couple other little pieces, BUT 16 other smaller pieces are missing from the plastic parts tray! I’m thinking he’ll be happy with the six figures (we won’t let him see the tray), but there should be a disclaimer about all these missing pieces, and the price should be WAY lower. Feel ripped off.

This product is just like the original...!! The person complaining about how tall each figure is, was probably not even born when this figure came out..!! They are exactly identical to the originals..!! Also the figures never came with spring loaded guns in 1985.... another complaint from a person that never owned the original..!! Great product right down to each figure, and the transformation into Devastator..!! This figure was never meant to be a toy that you could thrash around, and expecting it to stay together if you did so..!! It was the first of it’s kind for the time, and this version is exactly like the one I remembered when I got it for Christmas in 1985..!! Does not disappoint..!! It was $39.99 34 years ago, and I had no issues paying $100 for it now..!! It’s called INFLATION PEOPLE...!!!

If I could give this zero stars I would. My son has been asking for the Mighty Devastator for quite a while now. We bought it for him right after Christmas. We gave it to him today for a Valentine's present after school and Bonecrusher was broken when we opened the box. Now we have to rush down to the UPS store tonight to get it returned to Amazon by tomorrow. For the price we paid for this I expected it to be better quality. The pieces that weren't broken feel very cheaply made and like they too would break easily.

He is Devastator, which is cool in itself. Six Constructicons were nice figures.
Keeping Devastator together though has been a problem. One leg constantly comes off when my son plays with him.
Outside of the leg issue, it’s a nice toy. I think the Combiner Wars version is likely more true to scale and the look from the original G1. Had I the opportunity to purchase again I may have gone that route, but the price markup is substantial on that version.

Wanted this as a kid in the worst way, but I think they could have done better with the design.

Cool toy. Hard to keep him in Devastator mode when my son plays with it.

Well, even though it's not really a original but a G1 reissue version it's pretty good but the price should be cheaper instead of charging $210+ tax for it. Either then that, I was happy that the box wasn't damaged in any way even when going through usps or etc. It should be boxed with a lot of those bubble wrap and popcorn especially that price being charged.

Love transformers! I’m disappointed because uniting devastator is a joke. It’s weak and it’s impossible for my son to play with them United because it just falls apart. I have G1 bruticus and that’s how they should still have them built

The instructions took a little deciphering. Whilst there were 2 sets of instructions I kind of figured only 1 was needed but still getting Devastator all together took some patience. Nonetheless I got it figured out. Note if you have large hands you might have some difficulty with the small parts.

Devastator 6 figure pack, my son's new favourite toy!
Reviewed in Australia on April 17, 2020Verified Purchase
Our son loves his Devastator 6 figure pack, it's his new favourite toy!
Unfortunately Hook broke within a couple of months of purchasing so I have only rated this as 3 star.
Scrapper often falls off when the whole set is combined - also why I've rated this as 3 star.
