What do Steve Martin, The Reverend Al Sharpton, and Dr. Phil have in common? Jim Norton hates their guts. In his deviant pseudo-memoir Happy Endings, Norton delivered his uncensored and controversial brand of humor on everything from his affinity for hookers to his romantic woes. Now, he unflinchingly spews his thoughts on everyone from the bully he despises from high school, to Hillary Clinton and Al Sharpton.
Offensive, brutally honest, and most important, sidesplittingly hilarious, I Hate Your Guts features 35 essays showcasing the candid, outrageous brand of dirty comedy that has earned him legions of devoted fans both on the radio and on the road.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2014I was super excited when I found this book on my doorstep after a week of waiting. I read it in a day and a half, and I couldn't put it down. The Heather Mills chapter is amazing, but everything in the book is so funny. Line after line of genius, fantastic word play and it's just pure platinum. I was so sad when it was over. I must have seemed like a complete lunatic laughing on the subway and in Starbucks, but I couldn't keep the laughter in.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2008Like his previous book "Happy Endings", you need to be comfortable in your own skin before reading this book. It's brutal, honest in it's prespective and hard to handle for the un-initiated. It's also as funny as it gets. So loosen your chastity belt and enyoy a good chuckle. Sure, its not quite out yet, but while standing in a shopping bag in a bookstore restroom, I managed to convince a hairless young chap to give a copy in advance. Norton rules, go eat a bullet.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2008This book, while a hilarious follow-up to Happy Endings, stands on its own as a well-written and humorous compendium of anecdotes. The bullet-pointed summaries at the end of each chapter highlight the salient points. You'll loff---n-n-n-n-no, you'll loff and cry at Jimmy's brutal honesty as he recounts his illustrious Little League career. Meet someone new: The obscure Maxwell. See crystal clear photos of rock gods Black Sabbath and other celebrities and sports idols. A must-read!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2014First of all I'm a huge fan of the Opie & Anthony XM satellite radio show where I discovered a talented young man named Li'l Jimmy Norton. A multi-character on the radio, he is brutally honest in his opinions - with brutal being the key word. Whether you agree or not you have to admit he is on top of most topics and has an opinion he can and will back up regardless of what the rest of the world thinks. He is also a raging sex addict but he doesn't hide it, he relishes in it. His observations on people and the world are strong and generally on target whether you like it or not. The book was a nice read though it did not adequately reveal enough about himself. Nevermind, read it for yourself but better yet, listen to his podcasts and/or the radio show. If you are thin-skinned and politically correct then ignore everything I've written and forget who this man is. He will hurt your feelings.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2018Dirty, filthy charming. Norton takes off the gloves and calls a spade a spade. He even picks on some white people too. Who knew even Derek Jeter was a tool like the rest of us. The Yankee chapter notwithstanding, there plenty of laugh out loud funny here. Demons, be gone.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2008This book was recommended to me by Paul R. Nelson and I gotta say it's got more laughs than a Pat Battle broadcast has Negroes robbing convenience stores! Every page is a rip roarin' frunkosity of meaty breasted goodness. Plus the pages can later be used to soak up NicoLeaky spills if so required.
I give this book five stars...one for each year Lil' Yimmy was named Sweetest Boy in School.
Readers of "I Hate Your Guts" should also check out "Mein Kampf Pt.2" by Adolf Cumia. Hilarious...but not as funny as Schindler's List.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2008This book is simply NAAHT FUNNY. It's HILARIOUS. I skipped right to the MAXWELL part as I am the fool who originally "took down" his myspace page. I laughed damned hard... how often do you do that when READING? Maxwell, it's time to cry "AND PUNT MY CAREER" you silly sod. I want to invent the time machine so that I can go back and hand Maxwell's mother a pamphlet on abortion.

Johnny KomatsuReviewed in Australia on August 18, 20185.0 out of 5 stars Drop everything, read this book!
Made the mistake of taking this book to my local pub to read over lunch.
Big mistake, two hands are required to eat, I had a choice to make?
Eat, or keep reading a book so honestly foul and disgusting frank one can't stop.
Mental note to self, eat first.
Thanks Jim.

Certain names and details may be lost on a limey like myself but the zest with which Norton writes is truly international. If you're unaware of his style of humour I'd suggest you hit youtube first instead of being shocked by the humour and embarrassing yourself by whining about it in a review.
