I initially bought this item on 5/23/2018 and even read the instructions; since I'm a guy, so that is rare. But since it is so flimsy I wanted to check all the boxes before reviewing it.

They say that going from blades to electric may take a few weeks of time before it began to shave close enough to be considered satisfactory. I did. It didn't.

Since it has other attachments I decided to keep it for use on vacations and if I ran out of blades. So, while in Maui last month I used it once again thinking, it's Maui, and I'm on vacay. If it works even ok, I'm ok with that. So I used it once while there, the day after we got there. It was ineffective; even bat-shit crazy ineffective. So I tried cleaning the heads out as instructed, and the whole blade assembly popped off and broke.

Since I had only held on to this beautiful piece of Chinese ingenuity for vacay use, it's now useless, as I'm not about toting all the extra attachments around in case I decide to grow a wild beard design while bombed in whatever foreign or domestic land we choose for R & R.

I gave it a chance, but now just get to toss it and listen to my wife laugh & tell me that trying a cheap knock off never works. Honestly, this device appears fine in the photos, but it is truly a flimsy hunk of junk that may contain no metals in construction to add structural integrity. Save yourself the time, aggravation, (and ridicule) and buy a real Razer. You know, by a company with an American (or international) name you can trust. This unit is a HARD PASS.

Some problems - did a pretty good job until it died

Lived with it for a while now. When I'm not traveling, I shave only once every 3 or 4 days and it handles the larger beard growth pretty well. Every once in a while, a whisker gets caught and pulls rather than cuts, but the shave is generally pretty smooth. It has a little difficulty with the contour of my face but it's not a show stopper. I mostly use it dry, but have used it in the shower maybe a dozen times with good result. The battery life seems very long between charges and you can charge it off any USB plug (old style rectangle). A 110v to USB adapter is included. I let it charge overnight and it goes for most of a month on that charge and sometimes longer.

UPDATE: In spite of cleaning it with every use, it recently stopped working altogether and after only a year of owning it.

NOTHING WILL GET IT STARTED MOVING AGAIN. THREW IT AWAY. Not sure what was going on.

Note: a razor blade would probably give a closer, smoother shave, but this thing was great on the go and did a good enough job that I can't see any growth in the mirror afterward. When it worked.

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product and the shave it gives. I can easily compare it to themore expensive ones I have had and I see this product to be of the same quality. I have been using this for over a year now and don't have any complaints at all! The blades are still sharp although when I bought these, I read that they don't sell replacement blades yet. Not sure if they do so now. Hopefully by the time the battery is no longer chargeable or the blades are dulled, I will be buying another one.

This item is real A+++ for value and quality of shave. (And the assorment of add-ons aren't something to be scoffed at either!).

Bought this shaver in May of 2018...mostly to shave my head, and it does a superb job! Great battery life as well. About 3 months ago, the latch in the shaver head (where you open it for cleaning) broke. Even thought it was past the warranty, the seller sent a replacement head right away at no charge. Then, this last week, I somehow lost the wall charger and cord. Just got the message from the seller, telling me a new one is on the way...also at no charge! Super customer service Hatteker! I love your shaver!

Just ordered and received my new one upgraded, the flip top broke after multiple years.
Love this one because of it’s small size over the new one.l wish I could have bought a new head for this one.
The company seems to be very accommodating I think I will see if they will send me another head for my smaller unit.

I decided to try the Hatteker Electric Shaver because for the price of an expensive blade replacement I could get something that for about half the price that has attachments for beard trimming and grooming in general.
