An absolutely captivating tale. An epic battle of good and evil. The author creates a vivid world where the spiritual realm meets reality as a young boy is thrown into a world where he must fight against the devil and his minions. While it’s hard to believe anyone would be as noble as the protagonist the story is still a phenomenal hero’s journey. While the characters must face the perils of the divine they are forced to deal with their own mortal temptations.
While I really wanted to get into this book, I couldn't. I'm not saying it's bad, I just couldn't get into the technology aspect. There is a lot of exposition which slows things down a bit. I am not one that has a problem with slow - moving stories, so this wasn't terrible for me. However, there are a lot of readers out there that might find this off - putting. I love the classic Good vs Evil struggle. I believe the writer has potential, this book just didn't seem to tap it.
