A self-taught screenwriter, Jo’s writing life began when she created the groundbreaking, critically acclaimed CBBC action fantasy television series, "Spirit Warriors," which introduced leading actress, Jessica Henwick ("Game of Thrones," "Star Wars: The Force Awakes") to the screen. Granted the biggest budget ever given to a CBBC show at the time, it was nominated for "Best Children’s Programme" at the 2011 Broadcast Awards, with Jo herself, going on to win the Women in Film & Television’s "New Talent" Award in 2010. Jo even made history for being the first East Asian person to have created a British television drama series.

Since then, Jo has worked with some of the most acclaimed producers in the world with several television shows and movies currently in development, she also writes for games. When she isn't working on her own stories, Jo helps others with their work - she is currently a script consultant for the BFI (British Film Institute).

Jo suffers from MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities), a debilitating condition she has developed over the past decade. Unfortunately, it is still not officially recognized in the UK despite the World Health Organisation listing it as a physical disability. There is currently no help for sufferers of MCS in the UK. Despite the wrench life has thrown at her, in addition to her screen work, Jo started to write and publish books.

Her debut novel WANTED, Book 1 of the Chase Ryder series has been a bestseller in 15 YA categories. It also won top prize in the YA Sci-Fi category for the 2018 Readers' Favorite Book Awards. It is her dream to bring all of her book series to screen and she believes she can make it happen with her readers' help!

Jo lives in London and hopes to travel across America one day in a super kitted out, MCS-friendly, Zombie-apocalypse-ready RV with her lovely fella Matt, and three equally lovely kitties.

When Wanted came out, I read it as it was recommended by a friend to me and was suprised by just how fantastic a book it was, especially when you consider it is the author's first book. I loved everything about it, the coming together of the three characters, the suspense, action and of course Bandit himself. It read like a movie and I could see everything as if it was happening in my own head. I'm thrilled to say that the second book is every bit as good as the first. I really liked the setup time in the beginning where we get to see the new family being together before all hell kicks off. For me it's important to take those quieter moments so we can get to know the chracters in their new life on the ranch. The author skillfully wove together different storylines, setting them up so that when it all starts happening, it's non-stop action. I loved this book as much as Wanted. It was suspenseful and full of twists and turns. I can't wait to see what else the author has in store for us though I am also sad that if this does stay as a trilogy, we'll only get three books. I need more Chase, Bandit and Sully!

Their relationships are all of the “Stick together and we can survive everything.” And they do stick together through some VERY rough times! Bandit is everyone's dream of a pet, but he is so much more than that. He communicates with the rest of the family through the iPad that he carries around. Chase and Sully will do anything to keep them all safe and together. Is Sully's wife still alive? Where does that leave Sam? Where did Pixie come from? When Bandit disappears, the hunt is on. Great read!

If Dean Koontz's Einstein won your heart, so will Bandit, the genius dog in this series. A gentle note for the author/editor for these books: the story and characters are set in the United States; however, the author uses terms/vocabulary common to the UK. Examples: A "jumper" is a sweater in the US, and a "torch" is called a flashlight in the states.

Such a great read! Loved this book as much as the first book in the series, Wanted (and maybe even a little bit more, because I knew the characters and could get straight into the story). The story is fast-moving and exciting. It's a good easy read and I found myself looking forward to my commute so that I would be able to read it!

The book seems to be listed in the teen/young adult section but I'm 38 and really enjoyed it. Having said that, my daughter is 11 and loved the first book in the series, so it suits both younger and older readers. I will be encouraging her to read this sequel, and I am looking forward to the third book in the series.

Set six months after ‘Wanted’ left off we find Chase, Sully and Bandit enjoying a brief period of respite with their new extended family. However unfinished business from the past threatens to disrupt this new found peace and they are soon plunged back into another desperate fight for their lives. This is a fantastic sequel filled with another exciting, fast-paced adventure balance with plenty of emotional and humorous moments. I really enjoyed seeing the characters and their relationships develop and can’t wait to read the next instalment of this great series.
