This was a stupid book.there was nothing to it. Not much of a ghost story. And what's with the 3 page stories at the end .didn't make sense to me. Not impressed!!

THE HAUNTING OF CROW HOUSE By Eve S. Evans

This is my first read by Eve, and I enjoyed her penmanship. A short ghost mystery. Abigail Owen's has just buried her mom and still in the grieving process when her mother's lawyer calls and tells her he needs a reading of her mother's will immediately. Abigail agrees because she would just like to have it over with. The lawyer informs her that in closing everything, a house that belongs in the family has come up and she is now the sole owner. Abigail is shocked by this news, being as her mom never mentioned the house. Two weeks later Abigail and her boyfriend Neil go to live in and remodel the old mansion. They both start feeling odd and Neil has to go back to town for work and leaves Abigail alone. She starts hearing a little girl crying, then sees her, but she is faceless. Abigail texts Neil that she is seeing things. Neil is worried and has the old house records pulled and looked at. The information he receives bothers him, so, he brings a mystic/in to cleanse the home of the bad remaining spirits.

This was a quick and spooky read. I am not a fan of horror, this is a bit scary and left me with shivers and left me spooked. Abi and Neil's story in Crow House is one that left me haunted. I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Abi and Neil as they go through life in Crow House and the things that reside there. It feels more like a movie at times.

I have enjoyed this author from the first book I picked up by this author. Her writing skills and attention to details make her stories entertaining to read. This book is no different. I was pulled into the story from the beginning by the characters. I also enjoyed their growth throughout the story. What they brought to the story gave the story a realistic feel. This is a haunting story about paranormal and what happens when you have nasty nightmares. Abigail doesn't believe in ghosts but she just might change her mind now. I enjoyed her character and what she had to go through. She is a strong character that made the story for me. I really enjoyed this haunting story. I highly recommend this book.

Her mother even though gone now has picked her interest in a rundown mansion. It is also surprising it is even part of it making a bit of a mystery to the lawyer. Thinking this might be a change needed she wants to turn it into a b and b. Paranormal begins with it picking at her belief system. We can not forget about ghosts either because this includes one. How can she not believe so we turn the pages to see if this one will get the best of her.

Tis one is an interesting book, with some spooky and exciting parts to the book. I enjoyed it and will read the other books in the series.

I would have loved a little more depth in the story but it was still very enjoyable.

Abigail's inheritance

Abigail is grieving the loss of her mother when her lawyer insists a reading of the will must be done immediately. She finds out that there's a family mansion she never has heard about. She plans to make it into a bed and breakfast so her and her boyfriend, Neil, go to check it out. After Neil has to return to his job Abigail stay there by herself and finds out the terror is just starting.

As are most of her books, Haunting of Crow House is very well written. The storyline is plausible and easy to follow, but that doesn't detract from the scare - I had chills throughout most of it. My one complaint is that the story is very short and I would have liked more detail and perhaps more of a conclusion. However, it is always better leaving the reader wanting more! I would recommend the book to any reader, maybe just not late at night....
