Good Product (but not what I wanted).

Item worked as it stated on the package. Hauppauge is a bit vague in their product designation. I wanted a device that would output FM Radio on a VISTA OS computer. This device only provided TV. I got the product number by calling Hauppauge support. It seems there are different flavors of the WinTV-PVR-150 and I had the wrong one. Amazon is excellent about returns and I ordered the correct flavor of the WinTV-PVR-150 from another source (Amazon didn't have the proper one for FM Radio). The Hauppauge device is installed in my PC and works as advertised. Hauppauge is easy to get in touch with and is quite willing to advise potential buyers about their productl

Good Video Card

I am using this with an AFN decoder box, Windows XP Media Center Edition PC, and an Xbox 360. I got this so that I could use the interactive guide in Media Center since AFN doesn't have one and be able to record shows. The install went fine except I had to download the driver's directly from Hauppauge's web site. The disc included was not compatible with XP service pack 3. After I got it hooked up I now can use my Xbox 360 as an extender and now I get to pause, rewind, and schedule recordings. While not as good as Tivo, it is a good substitute for people who are overseas and miss their DVR's.

Outstanding Card

I use three of these cards paired up with SageTV. The hardware encoding is very efficient and the encoder does a better job then the PVR-250/500 (as far as quality is concerned)

Only thing I noticed is that sound tends to be of a lower volume. Extremely reliable and good at what it does.

Overall, pleased with my purchase

Purchased this for watching TV on my computer. Was not interested in the recording features, and have not yet tried. Selected Hauppauge because of the more favorable reviews than other brands. Also decided on the PCI card instead of a USB device because of reviews indicating lesser picture quality with the USB devices. Have a Windows Vista machine and it runs great on Media Center. Also works with WinTV software provided. Installation and setup was easy. Was watching TV within about 20 mins of opening the box. Picture quality is very good. On the negative side, the tuner card failed after several weeks of use. However, Amazon was great about sending out a new unit. Was up and running again within 5 days. Overall, pleased with the product and the support from Amazon.

Note there are many variants of this product. I got this one because it ran on Media Center and had a remote. Would not buy without the remote.

I bought this tv-tuner to use in Brazil, where I live, and it is compatible with Brazil's PAL-M standard.

Great product. Very easy to setup on Vista (no software required!), the IR Blaster works great and so does the remote control.

It's kinda hard to figure out which version of the PVR-150 card you need though, but this is the complete package: buy it if you need a remote control, a infrared receiver, and a infrared blaster to control your cable box.

Remote Stinks

I received the product the tuner was easy to install and worked fine. Could not get the remote control to work. Tried everthing listed on the manufactures site.

Item arrived DOA

This item lives on the floor of my closet because the device never worked. I am a skilled computer operator and technician, I was unable to get this device to work. The drivers would not install correctly. I bought the ATI TV Wonder 650 outboard device and it worked perfectly.
