If you're tired of your laundry falling behind your front loading washer and dryer, it's time to discover the Haus Maus Laundry Guard. This clever accessory will keep your laundry clean and on top of your machines, while providing an expanded work space in your laundry room. The unique hinged design adapts to fit either one or two machines, and can be used on stacked machines with sufficient space between top of machine and ceiling. Each back panel is 25.25 inches wide with an overall width of 51.5 inches when used on two machines. The Haus Maus Laundry Guard is only compatible with metal, flat-top front loading washers and dryers. Some newer front loading machines have rounded plastic tops that our magnets cannot attach to.

As it is, though, it works well--just don't try to make it do too much! The magnets hold it in place--they are on the bottom, so the top will lean outward if you put items against it--and the entire guard could be pushed, too--the magnets aren't THAT strong.
Still, if you use the top surfaces of your washer and dryer at times and just want to keep the errant odd item from falling off (we've had socks land in our sump pump a few times), this will do the job. I keep a slim pull-out cart between our washer and dryer, so I have the guard on the outer side and backs of our washer & dryer--the areas about which I'm most worried.
When I saw this featured on The Grommet, I immediately wanted it! I was glad I could get it on Amazon, too, so I only had to wait 2 days. I do think that at $30 it's overpriced for what you get, but I'm still glad I got it!
