"Highly recommended." Readers' Favorite - 5 stars

"It is shocking, tear jerking and especially a mind f¥£k of the worst kind - but does not detract the fact that this is likely one of the best novels of its kind on the market" - Alpha Book Club

"I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a nosedive into the seamy side of life. It's an emotional journey that is filled with the worst human beings can offer, and also hope for those battling their own personal wars." - Perfect at Midnight Blog

"This book is worth so much more than 5*." - M. Brennan's Blog

"This novel is worth reading for so many reasons. I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed reading, Have You Seen This Girl? If you enjoy an angsty, psychological suspense, then I highly recommend this book to you!" - A Well Read Woman

"I'm afraid my words will not be able to do justice to this novel. Carissa has done a fabulous job of putting together a story which is the right mixture of Fear, Thrill, Inebriation, Excitement, Exhilaration and Revenge." Bookaholic

"Lynch has written a very good book here and for anyone who enjoys a good revenge story, you'll enjoy this novel." - Segnalibro

Where to begin with this book? I was truly surprised when I cracked it open and reached the end of the prologue. The description was very interesting but I’d been expecting a story about a girl who was disabled or handicapped somehow, not a girl struggling with a drug addiction.
I’ll admit I was tempted to put this book down and throw in the towel. I didn’t want to read about addiction, I didn’t want to see a girl suffer through the drug world. I thought, this is another sob story, another tale of woe. But boy was I wrong!

Have You Seen This Girl? is a story of vengeance. It’s a story about a young girl who gets tricked into the world of human trafficking, for those who are unfamiliar, human trafficking is forced prostitution. It’s kidnapping, it’s a sex slave industry, and it’s absolutely wrong. Lynch has a way of presenting a very PG-13 version of this horrible realm which I appreciated very much. No one wants to read through a graphic rape of a thirteen-year-old, right? The language and the dialogue of this book were very well worded and realistic, as was the entire novel.

The descriptions and the emotions were raw. I mean that in a good way, they were intense, honest, and true to the scene. The main character was a girl I understood very well, she was strong in her own right and she was easy to like. I found myself rooting for her throughout the entire journey. The way she dealt with every situation and how she reacted in each predicament was human; it fit her age and her past, which made it enjoyable for me as a reader. I can’t stand those characters that always react the right way, always make the right decisions, always come out on top. Wendi struggled, and she struggled hard, but I got to see her stand back up again and it was very believable.

I'll be honest with you this book was out of my usual genre of reading. I have been an avid reader all my life and if you don't have my full attention by chapter 3...then I'm out! Ms. Lynch had me in Chapter 1. Bravo to this author for keeping the story edgy with page turning anticipation. Knowing that this is a series only makes it better for the reader. Guaranteeing that there will be more to come from this author in the future. There are very few books that really do have such a twist at the end that I don't see it coming. But Ms. Lynch effortlessly blindsides the reader with the unexpected turn of events in the Flockdale Files! I highly recommend this book and it you think it's not the type of book that you would read step out and try something different. I promise you will not only be surprised but left anticipating the next volume of this story as I am.

Have You Seen This Girl (Flocksdale Files Book 1) by Carissa Ann Lynch starts off at a rapid fire pace with a well-written really intriguing prologue that finds our protagonist, Wendi, living in a rat infected hovel with her boyfriend, Mick. She’s hot for a fix of heroine and once she snorts we learn that today she goes to rehab as she’s been informed that a bed has opened up for her. As the prologue comes to its conclusion and we’re about to learn what her story is, there’s a startling revelation that this isn’t about drugs. It’s about murder! I’m hooked.
The story then picks up 8 years earlier when she’s thirteen and moves along at a great clip that held my interest as I learned about the damaged Wendi, a very well developed character whose story runs deep as well as linear as she encounters the unthinkable. And later as the story progresses in Part II, we care about Wendi and why she plans revenge.
Without rehashing he storyline, suffice it to say that through Wendi’s struggles, we see the raw human struggle, believable and authentic and we are moved beyond the shadow content, the dark evil content, and surmount it with compassion that holds judgment in abeyance. This achievement is accomplished because the writing is great, the story well told, the scenes are strongly developed, and the tension/conflict in the story told through the evil family the Garretts resonates with us. We fear them and we fear what we might become should be meet them. We read about the Wendi’s and the evildoers, the Garrets, in the press and know that sex trading is current, a pathetic reality, and as we turn the pages this stark reality burns from the pages of this book. I was held to those pages till the end, right up to the satisfying epilogue, which tied all the loose, pieces together.

Wendi Wise is the victim of a kidnapping that leads her down a dark road away from all she loves and knows. At 13, her and her best friend, Claire, try to explore their little part of the world and end up with the wrong crowd. When things go from bad to worse, Wendi spends years never really getting over the evil of "The House of Horrors" that took her innocence and made her addicted to drugs.
After years away from Flocksdale, Wendi now going by Elsie McClain...is making her way back to right the wrongs that she was forced to be a part of. The years of hiding are coming to an end and everything lines up for her to take her revenge.

This was a great book you might as well grab the 3 books in this series, because you are going to want to know what happens next. Carissa Ann Lynch you've got me hooked! The writing flowed, the characters well drawn and the story explained clearly and concisely. I love this authors books.

If you like adult crime thrillers with great characters, then I recommend you get this series. You won't regret it.
