This was an interesting story that introduced new supernatural races to me that I had no idea existed so I enjoyed that part, would have loved if the author explained them a bit better. The pacing of the book was a bit rushed toward the end, too many things explained very quickly so you are left with tons of loop holes about the story. The climax scene seemed like the author had an idea and then changed her mind so you get confused while reading it. I would give a chance to the author if she continues the story to see how the characters develop over time
The Winged & the Wicked
I've been ready quite a few books for this series but this one in particular I didn't like. Right at the beginning there is a chapter in which each character has so many names that it was hard to keep track who were they talking about, it was really annoying. The main story is not bad but the way it was told didn't seem right, not sure I will be interested in reading sequels related to this one
The Alpha’s Queen
I’m totally in love with Harrison and Atlas, the story was very well written and really exciting. It reminded me why I love reading stories about shifters in the first place. It’s been a while since I’ve read one that I enjoyed this much.
Covetousness is a novella by Randi Cooly Wilson and is part of the rich, mysterious Havenwood Falls Series. I have to admit that I wasn't sure about several authors writing with a cohesive vision of a complex and diverse setting like this series, but I'm blown away with each installment. Each novella is stand alone and builds one every other story and characters. With each novella, I can't wait to read more and find out more of the hidden secrets that are so a part of this world. This Novellas focus is on Graysin Ravenal and her search for answers surrounding her sister's death in a fire. Jenni, Graysin's sister, moved to Havenwood Falls, married and broke off contact for years. Just before her death, there were some short messages, but nothing that made sense. Graysin takes a job in that very town an is determined to find out what happened. What she finds is mystery, secrets, danger...oh and a very hot boss, Everett. This was an amazing addition to the series and I can't wait for the next installment.
Alpha's Queen by Lila Felix is the latest Novella addition to the Havenwood Falls Collection. This Novella tackles the rivalry and racism that exists between Black Bear Shifters, the Entitled, and the Cinnamon Bear Shifters, the Lessers or servants. When The Black Bear Monarchy finds that they are in danger of being overthrown, what's a king to do but marry his son off to try and bridge the two factions??? Well there's a little more to the story, but Harrison finds himself married and Mated to the outspoken, beautiful, Atlas. it was only supposed be for 90 days and help to bring peace to their people, but there's a lot more to the story than our mates know. Oh and they can't seem to keep it from getting personal. While they fall for each other hard truths are exposed and secrets revealed. This is an awesome addition to the collection and I really hope that there is a sequel!!!!
The winged and wicked was hard to get into. It didn’t hold my attention very well in the beginning so I found it difficult to understand who was who with all the names. The story overall was good, but was not a page turner until the middle or end of the book.
Alphas Queen....OMG I couldn’t put this book down, what a fantastic short story. From the beginning Lila Felix captivated me with her story. I love the characters, Atlas & Harrison are a match made in heaven, and they have great names as well. This author did everything right in this amazing read....Great Job!!
