Just back from a 10-day vacation to Oahu and had this nectar as well as the others. Imagine my excitement to see Amazon has it for sale and PRIME! I think we paid $.99 a can in some parts of the island so this is a tremendous value at the current price of $20.68 for 24 cans.

In case you have not had it before, it is not overly sweet and there are tiny bits of pulp from the nectar every now and then. It is a very delicious beverage and a great source of Vitamin C.

Unlike some of the others flavors, this has NO high fructose corn syrup. Here are the ingredients taken from the can label on 11/17/12:

Water
Natural Cane Sugar
Guava Puree
Passion Fruit Juice Concentrate
Natural Orange Flavor
Citric Acid
Orange Juice Concentrate
Annato (Natural Coloring)
and Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)

After two recent visits to the Hawaiian Islands, the second visit with my husband, we just had to have some POG here in the States. I was happy to find it here on Amazon, since we couldn't find it locally (of course!) I've given the product 5 stars, because it fills our needs and suits our desire to have POG here in the house. HOWEVER..... the shipping experience was my worst ever in my two years of Amazon Prime membership. First, it did not ship or arrive promptly as expected. Second, when it did arrive, the package had been taped excessively, and we found out why -- inside were damaged, dented cans -- sticky cans -- and worst of all, one can was missing!

Summary: The product is delicious and lives up to the POG we had on the islands. But the shipping and packaging did not live up to my expectations of Amazon Prime membership. :-(

Hi all,

Let's get this straight first: I *LOVE* Hawai'i. From the hustle and bustle of O'ahu to the relatively busy Hilo on the Big Island, etc, there are still ample opportunities to find secluded areas on Kaua'i, Moloka'i, and Lana'i. I've visited the islands twice for vacation and would love nothing more than to live there one day. Yes, the cost of living is higher (relatively speaking) than in many parts of the continental US, but anyone who lives in Manhattan can also attest to very costly prices for even a postage-stamp size apartment.

With that said, my favorite indulgences in Hawai'i has also been the simple pleasures: going to the beach and pool often enough but not so often I get sunburnt beyond recognition, doing other activities (e.g., rock climbing and canoeing), and then just relaxing to the sounds of the beach outside crashing again the sand.

Hawaiian food and drink is diverse and I really enjoy it. I've warmed up a bit to seafood since visiting, but the tropical drinks, beverages, deserts, etc. are what can make or break a meal.

I discovered POG (pineapple-orange-guava) juice during my first trip to Hawa'i and instantly fell in love. It's a juice drink, sure, but the flavors are exotic enough to be different but familiar enough to be thirst-quenching and almost universally available across the islands.

This particular order was for 2 cases of POG (= a total of 48 11.5 oz. aluminum cans). While you can order directly from the manufacturer (Hawaiian Sun), their shipping costs are EXORBITANT. In other words, you may pay $15 for 24 cans of POG, but then get slammed with a $30 shipping and handling fee. Although POG is made in Hawai'i, I'm not going to pay a 100% surcharge for shipping.

Me and my husband recently visited Hawaii and this stuff was everywhere. We had it so frequently while visiting, that we are now addicted to the taste of Hawaiian Sun Nectar! It's nice to get a little taste of Hawaii in frigid Minnesota!

This POG is the real deal from Hawaii. I lived in Hawaii most of my life, and really missed having this drink. I previously wasn't able to purchase due to the high shipping cost; however, Amazon has graciously placed this product on Amazon prime. I will definitely purchase more of these...I can find these in my local Asian stores; however, the price is higher and the product they sell have very old production dates. The POG I receive from Amazon has very new production dates. They must be shipping these fresh from Hawaii, somehow.

I ordered three different juice types by the case from Amazon from the same seller. All arrived faster than expected without any problems. In fact the other people reviewing this product who state they have shipping issues may just be accidents as I have not had one issue with Amazon. All three juices are very good - just like we get on our yearly trips back home to Hawaii and for $20/case with free 2 day shipping if you are a prime member cannot be beat. Anyone who has a negative review about this product needs to think hard about posting a bad review. You cannot find this product on the mainland East Coast and to ship it direct from the manufacturer would cost you well over $40 case with shipping. Don't ruin it for the rest of us!

When I first started travelling to Hawaii I became addicted on Guava juice. The Hawaiian Sun Nectar, Pass-O-Guava is one of the few brands in Hawaii you can find back in the lower 48 states. The price on Amazon (especially with Subscribe and Save) makes it a no brainer for anyone that craves this.
