It says "made in China" and not sure if quality assurance is related to that or not but the jacket I got is probably the piece of clothing with the worst finishing I've seen in my life. I took pictures of some of the bad stitches, only 6-7 pictures and I could have kept going. I cannot imagine any professional sewer (or whatever is the right word) doing this and worse, trying to sell this as a reputable brand's very expensive piece of clothing. I'll upload some of the images.
One more note, size runs a little bigger. I got an M and is between M and L, maybe even closer to an L.
It goes without saying that it's going back faster than lighting. I'm really disappointed.
i really like them and they serve the purpose i got them for, and look great while to boot.
These are also my choice of jacket while traveling, i used to travel with leather jackets and those are too bulky and heavy to carry around all the time, these are super light and can be packed to a tiny size if needed.
Hawke & Co Jacket I bought for him. It is lightweight, easy packabale in his bag, nice looking jacket. Be careful! It runs a bit large, so order one size smaller of your regular size. My husband usually wears size M, but this jacket he wears size S and it fits just perfectly! Highly recommend!
It's also extremely light, and packs into its own left pocket really well. Medieval Blue appears to be pretty navy, maybe a tad lighter than the pic shows on my monitor, but not too different you'd think the wrong color showed up. My one criticism is I wish it was a little slimmer around the waist. I'm 6'4" 190lbs with a 33" waist, and it seems like if I had a big belly it would be fine. The tag that came with it describes it as between "slim and traditional". If I could have gotten a slim version, I'd say I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Don't get the wrong idea, it's not too big, it's just not slim and body-fitting enough for my tastes.
It's a great, reliable everyday jacket. And you just can't say no to that price (especially when all the competitors are at least double the price I got it ~$50)!
The packable pocket thing is awesome too! Always love those. Zippers are well built (as opposed to my uniqlo down vest) and the jacket seems quite durable.
Fit's great. I'm quite the standard small size. Medium build with a bit shorter torso and it fits me fine (sorry, I forget my measurements). Sleeves hit me right on the wrist and stay there because of the elastic band. Torso length is good and quite standard to my REI jacket. My friend that got it has abnormally long arms, and it was a bit short in the arms for him (I honestly don't think so, but he was very insistent on it being short on the arms for him). Fits great on me though!
The only issue is that the feathers come out quite often. Girlfriend kept brushing off feathers from different areas of my jacket. It's not as frequent now, but it was a worrisome problem when I first got it.
UPDATE: I did buy the men's small for myself and I am having trouble understanding the negative reviews on quality and lack of warmth. Certainly this jacket is not intended for weather in the 20s, but I have worn it outside in the 30s and been fine. My primary use for it was as a liner for my ski parka and it is wonderful in that capacity. I no longer have to layer underneath my parka - this over a single layer is all I need. I also wear it on long drives and it perfect for warmth without bulk in the car. I only wish they offered some girly colors.
