Hawker Aircraft is most famous for its WW2 fighter plane, the Hurricane. After WW2, the British needed something to match the MIG-15. The Hunter was first flown in 1949, but production did not start until 1953 after the Korean War. Just under 2,000 of these multi-role jets were built and served with the Royal Air Force as well as India, Switzerland and Lebanon.

This Squadron/Signal In Action book follows the very successful formula of 49 pages, plenty of line drawings, Black and White photos and 2 pages of color plates to show the different models and varients of this capable aircraft.

Perfect for modelers or those interested in British Aviation, the history of aviation in the 1950's and 1960's. I recommend it and would buy it again.

Typical Squadron/Signal profile of a famous aircraft. Lots of pictures with minimal text at a low price. Not a lot of detail here but a good place to start. Quite worthwhile!
